Since Chip has to set his work schedule like a month ahead of time and the girls have such busy schedules, we set aside Wednesday the 30th to go to the fair. It is the only day that we don't have sports/dance/etc after school. So we planned on picking the girls up and little early and heading down. Chip was diagnosed with pneumonia the day before, but swore he was up for a day at the fair (I should have known better). Of course as soon as we pick the girls up from school and get them all excited, he realizes that there is just no way. It was a warm day and it was just not up for it. So it ended up being a girl's day, just me and my babies!
1st stop, free pudding!! Score!
Visiting the animals. Above is a longhorn.
The girls wanted to stop for Mother Goose's Storytime.
And get a photo with Mother Goose.
Little Hands on The Farm -- a favorite tradition we do every year where the kids get to pretend they are real farmers and learn how to grow food and raise animals to sell for "profit", aka a fake dollar that buys snacks!
Up next was the Children's zoo area! It's my favorite part because I love giraffes and zebras.
(Lily looks too old)
Selfie with a camel!
Dani loves the pigs.
Goat selfie!
Big Tex and Corny Dogs!!
Big Tex started to talk. Dani is terrified of Big Tex "He freaks me out" she said.
face painting
We wandered into an art exhibit where evertyhing was made of canned or packaged food. Lily thought it was cool.
Finally what the girls have been waiting for all day -- games and rides!
Dani won the tiara at the duck game.
Dani flew around with her hands in the air the whole time. So cute.
Lily HAD to have a donut pillow. So we played the water squirt racing game and won her a donut pillow and Dani a Hello Kitty doll.
Last stop before we head home -- funnel cake!
It was another great day at the fair! Can't wait to go again next year!!
