More Booth Sales

It seems like GS cookie sales have gone on forever this year!  Lily missed two booth sales while we were in Florida, but she was able to go to the very last one.  They didn't sell as many since most everyone has had their fill (and their freezers filled) with cookies, but the girls had fun and Lily did a great job of speaking up and asking people if they wanted cookies.  I was very proud of her!

Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is more about fun for the kids than it is for Chip and me, which is perfectly fine by us!  Lily was excited since she has a school party and Dani wasn't sure why she was excited, but she was! They looked so cute in their Valentine outfits, that I had to get some pictures before school:

I love the way Dani is looking at Lily -- now that is love!

In the afternoon Lily had her class party, which I was in charge of since I am the class party mom!  We had cupcakes, cookies, fruit, cheese and crackers for a snack.  The kids made Valentine bookmarks and played Valentine ring toss and conversation heart twister.  It was fun!  I think everyone had a blast.  Dani got to go to Grandma's house, so she was happy!!

After school, Lily's friend Logan came over to play.  It's always hard on Dani when Lily has friends over since Dani wants to play with them.  Lily and Logan were playing outside and I can't let Dani out there alone, so to try to appease her I gave her the Valentine's Day gift I bought for her.  A little lunchbox filled with treats.   Dani got a ballerina that looks like her and Lily got a mermaid that looks like her.  They are SO cute.  I didn't get pictures of Lily opening hers, but she uses it daily at school and there is a chalkboard inside on the lid so I can write her messages everyday to find at lunch.  It is so sweet.

Candy!!

It's didn't take Dani very long to dig into the treats.

M&M's melt everywhere -- mouth, hands, face.
After Logan left, Lily opened her present from me, her valentines from school and Chip got them their traditional stuffed animal.  Dani got pink bear and Lily got a Lion.  They were so excited.  It was a great day with my loves.

Crowded

I'm pretty sure Dani is in there somewhere.  I try to sneak "friends" out, but she knows exactly who is in there and notices immediately if someone is missing.  She is slightly obsessed.   And here's a fun game . . .  How many Minnies can you find??

Answer: 5, at least that is how many I found and 2 Mickeys!!

Besties

Saturday night we all tried to go Bowling with Abby, Matthew and Carys.  Of course there was a 2+ hour wait, so the kids played in the arcade and we had dinner.  Lily spend the night with Carys and we all celebrated the twin's birthday at their pool party the next day.  I failed at getting any pictures of the party or anything . . .  but I got these two besties at dinner.  Dani gets SO excited to see Abby.  It is so sweet.

Nerf Shield

Lily used some of her birthday and Christmas money to buy herself a Nerf Cross bow.  I didn;t get any pictures of her playing with her new toy . . .  but I got these of Dani trying to shield herself from the flying "arrows".

Selfies

I don't know why we have so much fun taking pictures of ourselves on the phone . . .  but we do!!

Snow!!

Oops!  I didn't realize I was so far behind on the blog -- I seriously thought I was pretty caught up!

The week after we got home from Disney, we had another cold front come through here with some light snow!!  It was freezing for days, but the snow was really dry and didn't stick.  Schools didn't even get cancelled and by the time Lily got home from school it was pretty much all gone.  But Dani and I had fun going on and catching snowflakes.  And I mean real snowflakes.  Like beautiful, perfect snowflakes.  I have never seen real snowflakes -- usually just drops, but I guess it was the dry snow that made the flakes larger and easier to see.  It was AMAZING.  I am so sad Lily missed it.

Our pool was completely frozen -- like an inch thick.
Ooh . . . pretty snowflake.
I think I'll eat it.
Trying to catch them in her mouth.

She was loving making footprints in the snow, so we walked to the pond on the corner.

She really just liked walking in circles around the driveway and making footprints.

Some of the awesome snowflakes I caught on my jacket!!
Ready to go pick Lily up from school!!
