Fancy Randomness

Yesterday after playgroup Lily and I spent the day (both before and after nap time) shopping for birthday presents for Chip (his birthday is Tuesday and kinda snuck up on me) and Lily's friend Ashley who is having a party next weekend.

Of course Lily does not want to ride in the shopping cart anymore, so it makes it a little more of a challenge -- especially at Toys R Us.

Here she is in the toddler bed display. She has her own doll with her and was all ready to make herself right at home there.

While out and about I bought Lily one of those magic towels. You know, it looks like a hard square and then you add water and it miraculously becomes a towel. I'd never had one before and was kinda curious, so for 99 cents I got a Bert & Ernie one to try out.

She decided it would work better if she stirred it in the water.
I didn't get an after picture, but I have to say those magic towels are pretty disappointing. It was just a washcloth. It wasn't that big of a shock that a washcloth came from that square -- I could probably fold it back to the same size. It was lame.

This morning we went to my Mom's house. Lily really really wanted to wear this fancy dress that had belonged to Alyson. She hasn't had a chance to wear it yet and I wasn't sure if it would still fit at Christmas time, so I let her wear it today. She loved it!! And I think she looked pretty cute in it too!
