Last Pre-Ballet Class

Today was Lily's last pre-ballet class and picture day for the upcoming recital. She'll (hopefully) start the ballet/tap combo in the Fall. I have her all signed up and ready to go, but I am having my reservations. For some reason she is not loving dance like I thought she would. I mean, this girls LOVES to dance, sing, perform, get dressed up, etc. She is so girly this should be right up her ally. But she doesn't run out the door to dance like she does for school and she is very apprehensive about the upcoming recital. She told me the other day, "Ms. Crystal called and canceled my dance concert. We don't have to go now." :( I told her she had to do the recital, but not to worry she'll love it and I have given her plenty of opportunities to stop going to dance. But she doesn't want to leave her BFF Carys. Which is good, I am glad Carys is there and hopefully Lily will come around in time. I think her main problem is that she is SO stubborn she doesn't like being told how to dance -- that is why the routine is no fun for her. She has to do everything 'her way." But she desperately needs to learn that not everything is done "her way" and how to be part of a team or group.

Anyway, they all looked SO cute for pictures. I even put a little make-up on Lily to try to get her excited. I'll get the photos back in a week or two, but I think they turned out good -- too good, now I'll have to order a lot. :) Here are some photos I took while they were practicing their routine:

So happy to be there. Actually when she doesn't know I am watching she does a lot better.

Such grace!
With Ms. Crystal and most of her class (there are a couple girls missing).

28 weeks!

I had another Ultrasound today since my placenta was low last time. Thankfully, everything is perfect and right where it should be. Baby girl is still girl (yay!!) and weighs 3 lbs which is about normal. (Lily weighed 7.5 lbs at 36 weeks, but hopefully this baby will be slightly smaller than 9.6lb Lily!)

Look at that face! It is totally creepy, but still kinda cute! :)

11 weeks (or less) to go!

Hello 3rd Trimester!

We had a busy a fun weekend -- BBQ with all our friends at Patti and Bryan's on Saturday night and on Sunday Chip and I went to Kirkland's wedding and then to a movie. It was a nice way to start the Summer. And, since I was all dressed up and actually had my hair and make-up on yesterday, I took my weekly pregnancy picture! I should look nice in at least one of them. :)

I'll be 28 weeks this week -- the start of the 3rd trimester!! It is CRAZY how fast this pregnancy has flown by. I am not ready for it to end. We still have so much to do to get the girls' rooms ready. Plus, I am not ready for it to end -- this is more than likely our last baby, so it is kinda sad to think that soon I won't feel baby kicks anymore. I love those!!

3's School Work

I fell way behind in documenting Lily's artwork from school (and some from home). I figured the end of the school year was the perfect time to finally catch up! So here you go . . . .

Stamp Art

The planets.
They recently studies the planets at school and LOVED it. Everyday she could come home with new facts for example, "Mom, did you know Pluto is not a planet anymore" and "The Sun is a star!" She can even name all the planets -- I think we need to get some space books to study over the summer!
"A butterfly. It's going to a party."
"A dinosaur brushing his teeth because they feel dirty."

"Chicka Chicka Boom Boom" Art after they read the book.
The star that she hung on the classroom door every morning at the start of class.
Rocket Man

The Earth
"I'm sharing the ball with Makayla."
Chalk Art
Lily's name hand which was used to mark her job for the week at school -- door holder, calendar, weather, clean-up, snacks, etc. . .

"This is thunder and raindrops. It's too wet to go outside."
An exercise hat.
A Vegetable Vest
Not so pleased to be in her Veggie Vest and Exercise hat. :)

Quill Painting
"Me Looking at flowers and I was walking to pick it up to help my Mom" 3/23/11
Apparently I was already complaining about bending over back in March.
Lily is all into drawing people underneath rainbows now.

"U" watercolor painting.
Healthy Food Collage.
Lily doesn't often spend a lot of time at the craft table in school -- she rather be playing with her friends.
Tooth Brush Painting

Tire Track Painting
Looks like a melted snowman to me.
Yellow Yarn Painting
Sock Puppet
Gooey Goo
Zig Zag Art

Snake painted on foam.
Ladybug
Zebra
Rainbow Ribbon Collage
She likes to trace her hands. They come out a little puffy. :)
Lion Mask
More people under rainbows.

Valentine's Day craft
This is a picture of Chip and Britney that we've had on the fridge. It is cute, she added his facial hair and everything.
