Pool Playdate

The day after the soccer party, we went back over for a swim playdate!!  Summer can not come fast enough!!

Soccer Party

We had a big end of year soccer party for the team at Coach Ben and Rhiannon's house.  It was fun!  We grilled, kids swam.  It was a great afternoon/evening with the team.

Happy Birthday Hadley

Lily went to Hadley's sleepover birthday party and had a blast!  I was proud of her for going since they do not go to the same school and Lily is often shy around new people.  But as you can tell from the pictures that Lauren sent, Lily had a great time.

Hadley lives about 25 minutes away.  It was a long, exhausting ride for Dani.

Flooding Rains

I mentioned in previous posts that Texas was getting record amounts of rain.  One statistic said that the state of Texas had SO much rain in May that is was enough for every single person in the whole world to have 8 glasses of water for 10 days!!! That is insane.  So with all thus rain came lots and lots of flooding.  The golf course always flooded in a good rain, but I had never seen it in person.  Chip and I drove down and he said it was worse than ever.  It was pretty crazy.

There are some awesome mom's of 2nd graders at Lily's school and we have been all spending more and more time together which is so much fun!!  Why should the kids be the only ones with playdates??

Fro Yo

Every morning Dani wakes up asking to go to the pool and get frozen yogurt.  Essentially, she is saying 'I'm on summer vacation, dang it!!'.  So today after the gym and a park playdate with Ella I took her to get frozen yogurt.  Which is really a cup full of candy and toppings with a tiny bit of healthy-ish yogurt at the bottom. 

Karoke Monster

While Lily is at school all day and Dani is technically on summer vacation, this is what we do.  It's gonna be a loooong summer. 

The cape is like Elsa's.  That is the purpose of the cape, she flings it off at the exact time Elsa does while singing "Let it Go".  It's a whole production.

Table Re-Do

I've always loved the kitchen table we bought when we moved here, but every since we got the new floors I felt it was too dark in that corner and the table needed some updating.   I was excited because I knew how I wanted it to look, but I was scared that I would ruin my table.  Finally, I had some free time and I did it!!!  I am so glad I did, I LOVE the results.

Movie Night

We had a family movie night this weekend.  We voted on "The Boxtrolls" (which was interesting) and Chip bough Jiffy Pop for the girls to make.  It was fun for them to cook and watch it pop!  I love family fun nights!! 

Wet Hair

You can't tell how long her hair actually is, but she likes when she has wet straight hair.  It's different, but it really doesn't stay straight for more than a second.

Dani asked Chip to paint her nails.  It was a first for him.
