Another Tooth

I haven't been able to get a picture, but wanted to document before I forgot that Danielle has another new tooth!  Her top right fang took has come through.  I first noticed it yesterday, the 28th!

A Long, Fun Saturday

Saturday afternoon was Lily's annual preschool picnic.  It is crazy to think that she is like the "senior" class at the picnic this year.  We happened to get there at the same time as Carys and Matthew, so of course she stuck with them the whole time.  The kids had fun running around and playing.  It was a nice afternoon.

There were games.
and Sno Cones.

And Crafts.
The girls made visors.

Later on Saturday we went to Manas' birthday party at Little Gym.  Lily loved it.  I think she may be taking Gymnastic classes in the future.

Lily, Makayla and Carys

After the birthday party, Chip met up with us and Rhiannon, Ben, Matthew, Carys and Abby and we all went out to dinner.  It was a nice night so we ate outside and stayed out till 9:30, which really isn't a big deal to anyone, but Danielle who is normally in bed at 7pm.  She did SO good and didn't really fuss at all.  She is such a trooper.  I was hoping she'd sleep in since she was up late, but nope she was up earlier than usual at 7am.  So then I was hoping she take an extra long nap, but nope she took a shorter nap and only slept for a little under an hour all day.  That kid just doesn't like to sleep!

Outfits!

On Monday Danielle wore an old outfit of Lily's:

Tuesday she also wore Lily's old clothes and wore jean shorts for the first time!  So cute.
Thursday she wore this little outfit that I just bought her and love.  So cute and summery.

Saturday I picked out this old dress of Lily's for her to wear to Lily's preschool picnic since it had a matching hat and she would be outside in the sun.  Of course, just in time for summer Danielle decides that she will NOT wear hats anymore.

Bye bye hat.

Later in the evening I added the pink shirt that was supposed to go underneath.  But I didn't want to overheat her in the afternoon.  It was in the 80s and there is not a lot of circulation when I have her under wraps in her stroller.

Tiny Dancer

I tried to get some video of Danielle dancing while Lily and I were watching Glee.  I got some dance moves, but of course she kind of stopped really dancing when I had the camera and phone pointed at her.

Baby Giggles

Lily was playing ball in the house and Danielle thought it was the funniest thing ever.  I was lucky to catch a few minutes of her laughter on video -- usually she stops all cute things once the camera comes out.  Baby giggles have to be one of the best sounds in the whole entire world!!

Bluebonnets

Since we had done a bluebonnet photo shoot last year and the Arboretum this year, I was just going to take the girls myself to get a few pictures in the bluebonnets when they bloomed in late March.  But Rhiannon invited us to come down when she was taking pictures of her family and said she'd take ours at the same time.  Obviously, I couldn't pass up that deal!  I LOVE the pictures in the bluebonnet fields.  They always are so beautiful.  I wish the flowers lasted more than a couple weeks.    These pictures turned out amazing!  It was so nice and generous of her to take them for us and I am glad that I have such a great picture of Danielle's first time in the Texas Bluebonnets!

Photo Shoot at the Arboretum

Back during Spring Break when Danielle was 6 almost 7 months old we had family pictures taken at the Arboretum by Rhiannon.  As usual, she did an amazing job and I had a tough time choosing my favorites.  Here are a few from the session:

Cuteness

Here are some pictures of random cuteness:

Notice Danielle's toys all over the place -- that is how well she managed to get around the room.  She makes one mess and moves on to the next!

Busy Busy Busy

As usual we had a pretty busy fun week.  We are trying to enjoy the Spring weather as much as we can before Summer hits.  Monday night we went out to dinner and ice cream with Chip, which was a pretty big deal since he has been so busy with school work the last few months.  We ate outside and enjoyed the fresh air.  It was a perfect evening.  Tuesday and Thursday we went to the park after school with Matthew, Carys and Abby and on Wednesday I took the girls shopping and out for ice cream again at the outside shopping center.  It's been fun and exhausting.  We are all ready for summer vacation and more days/nights like this!

Carys, Lily and Matthew caught caterpillars.  It is a pretty big deal for Lily to be holding a bug!
All this fun in the sun wore Danielle out.  She actually fell asleep in the car twice this week which she never does!

Downward Facing Dog

Danielle is very mobile, but still not quite crawling yet.  She'll get on her knees, but instead of moving forward she'll push herself up with her hands and feet into a downward-facing dog position.  It is so cute.  She does it constantly.  So much, in fact, that she gets carper burn on her forehead.   I know she'll figure out this isn't really accomplishing anything and outgrow it soon, which makes me sad since it is the cutest thing ever to watch that tiny little butt in the air.

"Hello!"

"Big Girl" Playground

Lily is a pretty smart little girl.  She knows her limitations and is aware of the fact that when it comes to physical activities like climbing on jungle gyms she is a little more cautious and not as advanced as some of her friends (which I think is a great thing - much better than being a crazy daredevil!).  So she has been asking for a few weeks now if we can spend time at the elementary school playground so she can get acquainted with the equipment before she starts kindergarten in the fall.  I was impressed at what a good idea this was, so last Sunday we headed over to the school to check it out.   Lily rode her scooter over and Grandma and Grandpa met us there to play.
