Celebration USA

Just like every year, our city celebrates the 4th of July the week before the 4th.  It is always a favorite night for us and the kids!  This year we went with Sophie, Katie, Ruby, Julie & Stu and Melanie and Courtney.  We grilled and hung out at our house first and then headed to the park to hear Michael McDonald and watch the amazing firework show.  It was a great night!

Summer Lovin

A couple days after VBS we went swimming with Carys, Abby and Matthew.  Dani had to show off her swimming skills.  My little mermaid.

Swim Lessons

Dani wrapped up 2 weeks straight of swim lessons while Lily was at camps and VBS.  She is now swimming like a champ.  I am amazed and impressed at her progress!  She moved up 4 levels in the short time she has been taking lessons.

She had to get these new Frozen goggles at Target.  They are super cool.

VBS

Lily went to Vacation Bible School at the same church where Dani goes to preschool and most of her friends go to church.  She had a great week, especially since a good majority of her friends were there too and Abby's mom, Cathy was her crew leader!

She loved it so much, that she insisted on going to church the following Sunday to sing the songs they learned in chapel.  So we all went to church! (Lily is in the back next to the podium)

Sweet Sisters

This is how I found Dani one morning at 8am.  Just patiently waiting outside Lily's bedroom door for her big sister to wake up and play.  SO sweet!!

Flying

Of course, even though she can technically swim, when we are at pools with friends, she still wears her floatie.  That way we both can relax and she can just play and do whatever she wants.  Like fly into the pool. :)
