I can't believe it is already the 7th week of summer -- with only 4 more to go. I am LOVING the free, fun, pool time with my babies. I don't want school to start!! Too bad we're all so stubborn and home school is not an option. :)
This was another short week since we got back from Puerto Rico on Wednesday. On Thursday we did laundry, went to the store and kind of relaxed and recuperated. Friday we went to Mamgu's house to go swimming with Carys, Abby and Matthew.
The girls were so happy to see their friends -- and a pool. It had been two whole days without water! ;)
These two love each other so much.
Too much fun in the sun!
On Saturday Abby and Dani spend the day and night at their grandparent's house while Rhiannon, Carys, Matthew, Patti, Emily, Lily and I went to Six Flags!! We got there in the afternoon and hit some rides.
Lily was nervous. She is not a fan of roller coasters like the other kids. She sat out a few rides, but somehow I talked her into trying "Judge Roy Scream" which is essentially Colossus (for you CA peeps) -- the big, white wooden roller coaster. She sat with Matthew and Rhiannon and I sat behind them. It was a little faster and jerkier than I remember and poor Lily hated EVERY second of it. But I am SO proud of her for trying!! She was a little gun shy after that, but we got her back on some rides and having fun again.
Next up we had dinner and headed over to the amphitheater area for the main reason we were there -- The Debby Ryan and the Never Ending concert! She is the star of the Disney Channel show "Jessie" which the kids all love. She was performing her first concert with her rock band and while we didn't really know any of her original songs, it was still a good show and fun to see her in person!
Tanner Patrick was the opening act. I've never heard of him -- but took pictures in case he is famous someday.
Debby Ryan and her band, The Never Ending
After the show we had about an hour before the park closed to go on some more rides.
We played one game to get a cape -- we all wanted capes!! They are like the mouse ears of Six Flags.
Super Moms!!
