Sleeping Beauty
I love watching my babies sleep. I took so many pictures of Lily sleeping when she was a baby. They are just so precious.

Halloween at Gymboree
Since Thursday was our Gymboree class before Halloween, Dani got to wear her costume! She was SO cute and so excited! She LOVES being Minnie Mouse and actually left her ears on the entire class. Of course I took a zillion pics because she is too precious in that outfit.

Yay!
She loves to get the balls out of the bin and throw them around the room.
Up on her toes to get those balls out.
Wee!
Bubble and parachute time.
She is too cute!!

Trouble
There was a jailbreak the otehr day and Dani got out of her "area" and got into the front room that is currently filled with Lily's junk. This is how I caught her:

Standing on a chair, getting into crayons with bracelets on . . .
She was only free a quick minute before I realized it was too quiet and she was up to no good. So she wasted no time accessorizing with jewelry!

Ice Scream You Scream!
Nine out of ten times Lily doesn't hear me when I am talking to her, yet she ALWAYS hears the ice cream truck from blocks away. Monday night she swore she heard him and we went outside and waited and few minutes later he drove by -- she has supersonic hearing when it comes to ice cream!! Although, it was dinner time so she saved her ice cream and it is STILL in the freezer. She doesn't really want the ice cream, she just gets excited about buying it from the truck.

Red Ribbon Week
It was Red Ribbon Week this past week. It was tons of fun trying to explain to Lily what drugs are. She had a hard time making the distinction between bad drugs and medicine and went away from the conversation saying "My daddy takes drugs!". So that may have not gone so well. They had themes everyday at school -- Monday was crazy sock day ("Sock it to drugs"); Tuesday was wear red day; Wednesday was Texas t-shirt day (Lily did not participate this day); Thursday was hat day and Friday was Neon day ("Future so bright without drugs"). I forgot to take pics on Red and Neon day, but I got pictures of her crazy socks and hat!

She looks SO cute and grown up in these pictures. It is so nice when she gives me a genuine smile.
She choose to wear her ducky socks!
For hat day she had a hard time choosing between her princess mouse ears and her "Colorado hat". They were both cute, but she ended up going with the ears.
(Oh and I should make note of the pumpkin tattoos on her arms. She had me put those on her last weekend when I was applying some as part of my white trash costume. She LOVES them and will not let me wash them off. She has showered, they just don't come off easily enough.)

Better Late Than Never
I finally got around to having the girls make their yearly hand prints. Danielle isn't that late since she just turned one 10 weeks ago, but I'm a little behind for Lily. In all honesty, I think I was dreading and avoiding this hand print for Lily since it is her last one. Her tower is now complete and that is just crazy!! How did my baby grow up so fast?? It was very bittersweet for me, but I had to hold it together since Lily is VERY against growing up. The sweet girl is constantly upset about getting older. I have to tell her how much fun growing up is and all the things she has to look forward to in life -- although I secretly wish she could stay my little baby forever too.
Photos by Lily since I couldn't do Dani's print and take pictures.
Ta Da!
Lily's turn.
Yay! Now her hand print tower is complete.

Murder Mystery Dinner
To celebrate Rhiannon's birthday she hosted a murder mystery dinner at her house. It was so fun! We all had characters and clues and had to dress in costume. Originally we were just to wear our Halloween costumes, so Chip and I were going to wear the white trash clothes we got years ago for Halloween. But then everyone decided to dress in character, so we kinda made our character white trash. I was Elvira Wench, the neighborhood slut and Chip was Franken Farter the wacky inventor with a flatulence problem. So our outfits were perfect! :)

Brian was the Butler and Patti was the maid. The butler did it.
Rhiannon (the Vamp mistress of the house), me, Patti and Sara
The whole gang of suspects!!

Halloween Party
Saturday was the neighborhood Halloween party. This party is typically has a small turn out and we weren't planning on going. But Lily's new friend at school Logan was supposed to go so we thought it would be fun to get all the kids together. Of course, Logan got sick and couldn't make it, but Lily still wanted to check it out. So we got our costumes and headed over. It wasn't the best party and Lily didn't have many friends there, but she had fun and Danielle just loved running around in her costume. And I always like to support the neighborhood functions.

Lily is Stephanie from the TV show "Lazytown" and Danielle is Minnie Mouse!
I was shocked that Dani kept her ears on since she normally takes bows and headbands off within a matter of seconds. I think I did the right thing by showing her herself in the mirror with the ears on. She was SO excited to look like Minnie Mouse that she had no problem wearing them all day! And she looked so cute in them too!!Lily looks just like Stephanie in this outfit!! It is so cute. The show is older and only in reruns now on the Sprout channel which is like a PBS outlet for old shows. So it isn't that popular anymore and it is hard to find products from the show. Lily was adamant that she wanted to be Stephanie for Halloween. Thankfully I found the costume on ebay, but I had to have it shipped from Australia!!!
Playing games at the party.
In the Haunted House. I had to go in with Lily . . .
. . . but Danielle went in all by herself.
Channeling Stephanie
Discovering sidewalk chalk
Lily drew that pink Jack-o-lantern!
Lily "fishing" for treats while Danielle is off making new friends. She is not shy.
Enjoying cupcakes!!
