We all woke up about the same time on Christmas morning, which was perfect, and headed downstairs to see what Santa left us!!

Our stockings were stuffed with goodies . . .

he left a Barbie Dream Townhouse for Lily

and a baby house for Danielle!!

Danielle's stocking was stuffed with
teethers, stroller toys and little books.

Lily got little
squekies, sticker books, card games, paper pads, lip sticks, candy, a Mario Kart car, a Princess CD, stickers,
polly pockets, socks, puzzles . . . .

She was loving it!

Chip got lottery
scratchers in his stocking . . . he won $9! :)

When it was time to open presents, Lily really wasn't interested. She just wanted to play with her Barbie
dreamhouse.

We finally got her to open a present and her she got shoes. I was actually really excited about this gift since she LOVES her twinkle toe shoes, but apparently when you are spoiled like Lily, shoes are not an acceptable
Christmas gift. She also happened to open a set of ethnic people of the world that went with a big wall map that she asked for. But she didn't understand what the people were for and didn't like the gift. She could tell that Chip and I were
disappointed in her
poopy reaction to her presents, so it turned her off opening gift for most of the day. Instead she just wanted to play with her Barbies. . . .

So the rest of us opened our presents. . .

The BEST sight under any Christmas tree. :)
I got "L" and "D" initial charms and necklace.

We did get her to open one more and she got picture puzzles. Lily is a puzzle fanatic. She LOVES doing puzzles, so I thought these were perfect for her!! You can tell how thrilled she is.

I was VERY proud of the box I made for Chip's gift. I fastened together 3 cardboard boxes with duct tape and wrapped it all up . . .

A rocking stadium chair from the old Texas Stadium!

Chip loved it!
My parents came over later in the afternoon for lasagna and to hang out. We finally got Lily to open all her presents. She got activity books, more maps (she asked for them and loves maps), pink boots, books, Strawberry Shortcake Cafe, a
leapster explorer game, puzzles, scrabble junior and a cranium game. She ended up loving all her gifts, I'm not sure why she was so upset earlier in the day.

Playing Scrabble Junior with Grandpa and Grandma!
Despite the rocky morning, it was a great Christmas! Danielle was such a good girl the whole holiday weekend and I think she had a lot of fun playing with her family and checking out all the excitement. It was a great first Christmas for her!!
