Even though it was 20 degrees out with wind chills in the teens and still windy and snowing, we had to go out and play on this magical white Christmas!! Not only was it a perfect day, but it was Danielle's first snow!! We didn't get any snow last year, so it was even more exciting that Dani's first snow was on Christmas Day. She wasn't scared of it like Lily was the first time it snowed, but she wasn't quite sure what to do at first. I think the fact that she couldn't move in all her jackets and the fact that she had to wear the boots she hates (which are NOT snow boots, but the best we could do) make her a little leery at first.
Her mittens would not stay on. Thankfully, her sleeves were long enough to help keep her hands warm.
Lily got a new scarf, hat and gloves for Christmas -- perfect timing!
Amazed that her sand froze solid.
"Snowball" fight -- although the snow was too powdery to actually form balls.
She reached down to touch the snow. She was starting to really get into it. She's brave and adventurous. Not sure how I feel about that.
I love the snow!!
Weeeee
Dani threw a fit when I brought her in -- especially since Chip and Lily stayed to play a bit more, but it was SO cold and she doesn't have the right clothes. I am glad she had fun in the snow.
Our house on Christmas night looked so beautiful lit up and covered in snow.
Since we were snowed in and our Christmas leftovers were stranded at my Mom's house, we had to improvise and made Mac and Cheese and Grilled Cheese sandwiches for Christmas dinner. The perfect end to an absolutely perfect day!!! It was on of the best Christmases yet!!
