Clover Patch

Lily's Daisy troop had an outing yesterday to learn about bees and honey and earn their clover patch.  They had a craft, heard a story, tasted honey with apples, saw beekeeper gear and walked to a garden to observe bees.  I think they all had a great time.

Soccer

Friday night after soccer practice we went out to dinner with half the team for pizza.  Dani was super excited to see her "habby".

 

Then bright and early Saturday morning we had a soccer game.  I didn't bring my camera since there was a chance of rain, so I didn't get any pictures of the game we WON!!  The Roos won their first game!  4-1!!!  I was so proud of all of them.  They played so well and deserved a win.

Knight of the Week

My awesome Lily got Knight of the Week at school for Honor.  I am so proud of her and as luck would have it, I bought her the rainbow loom bracelet kit she has been wanting for so long now.  They are all the rage and all the kids have the rainbow loom bracelets.  It made a perfect congratulations for being awesome gift! :)

Play Doh

I've come SO far.  When Lily was little I would freak out if the play doh colors even slightly mixed.

Playdate

Lily's friend Logan came over for a playdate after school.  I decided to be nice and take them out for ice cream.   Dani was the most excited.

 

 

 Then we came home and played outside.  Of course, Dani HAD to be part of the playdate.

It was a fun afternoon.

Hat Day

 

Lily had Hat Day, Neon Day, Clothes Backwards day at school this week for Red Ribbon Week!  I didn't get pictures on the other days, but she looked super cute in her hat!

Night Night??

My sweet crazy Dani, who has never really liked to nap is pretty much official done with daily naps.  She is barely two and already over napping.  :(  It's just crazy to me. It is bittersweet -- bitter since she is not napping, but nice because I don't have to worry about getting her home to nap and I have more freedom in the day to run errands and stuff.   But we still try every day to have some quiet playtime in bed and she seems to enjoy it.  So I can at least sneak in some lunch in peace.

Last Tuesday she had dance, played, no nap and walked to school to pick up Lily (literally walked -- no stroller.  About 4pm she wanted to sit in her high chair and have a snack.  About 5 minutes later I found her passed out in her chair.  Poor baby.  She still needs a cat nap.  She's fine without them, but some days are just more exhausting than others.

 

 

Dani, when she does actually go to bed, likes to chew on the zipper of her sleep sack.  She has broken them all and will destroy a new one within a matter of minutes.  She does the same thing to footy pajamas -- no zippers in bed for Dani! Plus, she is starting to outgrow them, so it was time to bust out the big guy I made for Lily.   I love that sleep sacks keep their feet warm and since Dani won't leave socks on and can't use footy jammies, I don't have a lot of choices. This big guy is extra long and cut to ear backwards with the zipper in the back (since Lily would unzip her sack).  

 I know, I made it a little large when I made it years ago -- but I didn't realize how much until Lily tried it on and it still fit her!!!  yay!  My baby still fits in her sleep sack! :)

Happy Birthday Rhiannon

Last Saturday night we celebrated Rhiannon's birthday at Pinot's Palette.  I organized the event, sent out invites and booked the party room.  But since I love a theme, I also decided to make "paint brush pretzel sticks" and "paint brush rice krispie treats."  I made water bottles and even painted wine glasses for all the party goers.  It was so much fun!  We painted a Halloween twist of Van Gogh's Stary Stary Night called Scary Scary Night.  I was a little nervous at first since we had to paint it all without any cheats or lines on the canvas, but we all did it and I think we all did a pretty good job!    I hope to go back soon!
