More Cousins!

Sunday night Grandma Sheryl, Uncle Shawn, Aunt Susan, Jimmy, Samantha and Christian (and Harley!) drove up from the gulf coast,  They moved to Texas nearly a year ago, but this is the first time we have seen them in over three years.  They haven't met Dani and I haven't met my niece and nephews yet, so we were all pretty excited for their visit.  Lily was so happy to see Sheryl and to have her other grandma stay with us.  It was great for all of us to see each other and spend some time together and hopefully we see them again soon.

Hugs for Jimmy

We went outside to play for a bit . . .  I couldn't get Dani off the swing.

Later in the day Lily, Dani, Susan and Jimmy and I went to the mall to shop and ride the carousel.

Lily, as always, loves the carousel.

Dani didn't always looks as happy.
Apparently she wasn't thrilled with riding in the back seat either. :)
All the cousins.
Dani (2 years), Samantha and Christian (9 months), Lily (6.5 years) and Jimmy (19 months)

It was a short visit, but so great to see everyone!!

Danielle's 2 Year Stats

My amazing, magical crazy little baby is 2!  Where did the time go??  She is such a joy and I can't imagine our lives without her.    Here are her official 2 year stats:

Weight: 24.6 lbs  -- 22%
Length: 35 inches -- 80%
Head: 19.25 inches -- 84%

Sweet sick baby

Dani still had a fever on Sunday with no other symptoms which made for three straight days!  Luckily, she had her 2 year well visit scheduled for Monday, so we knew we'd see the doctor.  Of course by Monday the fever finally broke and she was feeling better.  It was just "one of those things".

I wish I looked this cute when I'm sick and laying in bed!

She may have been feeling better at the doctor's on Monday morning . . .  but she still didn't want to be there and wait.  Hello terrible 2's.  Dani got the memo that she is 2 now and the tantrums have officially started.  yay.

(I'll do her two year stats in a later post . . .  )

Happy Birthday Logan

The day after Dani's birthday, Logan had her birthday party at Painting With A Twist.  The kids all got to paint monster paintings.  Lily was a little apprehensive at first since she didn't think she would go a good job of painting, but she did great -- they all did.  The monsters were SO cute!

All the monsters!!  It was a fun party -- Lily loved painting!

Dani's 2nd Birthday

Danielle woke up with her fever going strong on her birthday.  Poor thing.  Thankfully, she wasn't any the wiser. :)  In the afternoon Grandma and Grandpa came over for presents and cake (since I had already had a cake ordered and it was her birthday, after all).  In the morning we relaxed some and cleaned up the house since Grandma Sheryl was coming to visit and stay with us the next day.   To make her birthday special, I let her help me clean the toilets.

Lily helped by mopping the floor.

To reward their hard work and attempt to make the day exciting for a sick baby I got them Mc Donalds for lunch and let them have a picnic on the living room floor.

Poor thing woke up from her nap kind feeling kinda crappy . . .  thankfully we had grandma, grandpa, present and cake to take her mind off being sick!

She got her own guitar since she plays with Lily's constantly.  She also got a Bubble Guppies microphone and some Peppa Pig toys.  Grandma and Grandpa got her some clothes, a book and a pirate ship water table!

I love my sweet, crazy little girl.  She is so much fun.  She loves to laugh and have a good time and she is so sweet and cuddly.  She is also pretty tough and fearless.  She is perfect (just like her sister . . . and mother).
