Wednesday we went back to Grapevine to go to the Aquarium. All the kids (especially Dani) had a blast running around looking at all the fish! It was another super fun outing!
Checking out the sharks.
At the end of the aquarium they have a little play area that Dani was technically big enough to play on, so I let her go. It is crazy to see my tiny baby up top of the play area with the big kids!! She was SO happy and had so much fun.We finished the aquarium kinda fast, so we thought it would be fun to take the kids to the Rainforest Cafe for lunch. It's always a treat for the kids.
Everything started out fine and we were having fun . . .
But not long after we sat down, the animals started dancing and the Gorilla near our table started moving and "takings". The above photo is Dani observing the gorilla.
Dani never cried and never reached for me. She just got eerily quiet and slowly got smaller and smaller at the table. She tried to curl up into her self in a self-preservation mode. She was literally frozen and wouldn't move positions to eat, drink, or talk. She just sat like this perfectly still and quiet for pretty much the whole time we were there. It was adorable, strange and sad all at the same time. I think she was confused and terrified.
Meanwhile, the kids got balloon animals and had a great time.
Still frozen.
Once we got out of there, my crazy Dani came back. I have to admit it was the quietest, most peaceful meal I've had in awhile. But my poor baby was so scared.
