Rolling Over

Tonight Danielle rolled over!! She has been getting close for a few days now -- from her back rolling up on her side, but her arm is in the way and she hadn't quite gotten all the way over. Tonight she finally pushed through and rolled completely over!

Can she get past that arm?? She got her legs over . . .

. . . pushing . . .
. .. almost . . . .
She did it!!!

Since she doesn't really like to be on her stomach, we though that maybe after she did it once and realized that pay off wasn't all that she wouldn't try again. But once we rolled her back to her back she rolled over again -- twice!! She can stop now -- I am not really in a hurry for her to roll, crawl or walk!! :)

Dickens Days

On Saturday we went to Historic Downtown McKinney for the Dickens Days Christmas event. My parents came too and we met Rhiannon, Ben, Matthew, Carys and Abby there. It was perfect for the kids -- they had crafts, a bounce house, petting zoo, food, Santa Claus(!!) and an ice skating rink and tubing down a little snow hill that they will be able to do in a few years when they are taller. The only issue this year, which really wasn't that huge of an issue for me, was that it was freezing!! It was so cold and windy! We knew it was cold, so I bundled the girls up good -- I just wish I would have brought gloves for myself!

I was excited that Danielle got to wear Lily's old bear onesie. It is so cuddly and cute!

We even brought Flat Stanley!

Matthew, Carys and Lily
At first Lily said she didn't want to see Santa, but when it was her turn she ran right up there. He was so nice and talked to her for a bit. It was so sweet and such a good experience with Santa. She is asking for a Barbie dream house this year. Since it was too cold to get Danielle out of her stroller and Rhiannon is making the girls Christmas tutus that I wanted them to wear for their picture with Santa, we'll go visit Santa again soon at the mall! But we couldn't pass up this opportunity to say hi!
This picture make me smile -- two of my most favorite people. :)

Grandma, Lily and Grandpa!

Grandma bought all the kids gingerbread cookies. They were so cute!
If you know my dad, you know that once the temps drop below 80 degrees it is too cold for him. So needless to say, he was dying on this cold day with the brutal winds. He was SO cold that he was willing to buy and wear this awesome dragon hat that he bought at the girly accessory store called "Chick Charms"!

Making Christmas ornaments.

In the petting zoo!
It was a fun outing with good friends!

Thanksgiving

This year we had Thanksgiving at our house so Danielle could take naps easily. But since I am not much of a cook, my Mom was nice enough to bring over all the food and still cook the meal. It was a fun day. My parents and Paula came over and Lily had a blast playing with everyone. She even ate or at least tried most of the food. She has come SO far from last Thanksgiving when my Mom had to pay her a dollar to just taste her corn!!!

Danielle's first Thanksgiving!!
I found the turkey hat that Lily wore on her first Thanksgiving!
I love my little turkey!

Lily wasn't in the mood for pictures -- she wanted to go play with Grandpa.

I love this bib! Another of Lily's hand me downs.

My dad, the photographer, was getting crazy with angles.

Paula made banana pudding.

The quintessential Thanksgiving photo -- Chip and Dad napping during halftime.
If I would have thought of it sooner, I could have make Danielle the centerpiece!
At the end of the night I decided to have some fun with Lily and I sprayed Redi-Whip in her mouth. Of course she LOVED it and has been following me around with her mouth wide open for days asking for more. Good thing we only have whipped cream in the house once a year!

New Views

I got the bumbo out this week for Danielle. I think she likes having a new place to hang out and sit - although I don't leave her in for too long yet, since she'll start to droop her head after a bit. But this should help strengthen those muscles!

She also got to hang out in her new baby bijorn! I snuck out to do some Christmas shopping and Chip just wore her around the house while I was gone. She loved it!
Chip hates having his picture taken by me all the time. If he thinks these ridiculous smiles and poses are going to stop me from posting his photos, he is sorely mistaken! :)

Happy Birthday Makayla!

The second of Lily's best friends turned 5 (Lily is next!!! AHHHH). Makayla had her party at an awesome girly girl place. I was trying to get Lily to do something like this, but Lily wants to make sure all her boys can come too -- Lily is a little boy crazy already!

Outside the place with Flat Stanley -- Alyson, in California, sent us her Flat Stanley to host for the month, so we have been trying to show him a good time.

They all got to dress up . . .

and get their hair done.

Can't forget to add glitter!
So pretty!
She looks so different without her bangs -- I have actually been contemplating letting them grow out for sometime now.

Time for a manicure and some make-up!

Then they got to dance and play and put on a fashion show!
Walking the catwalk!

Striking a pose.

All the pretty princesses.
Lily's first time doing the limbo!

It was a super fun party!!
