Volleyball

Since it was a nice night and our neighborhood park has a sand volleyball court, Lily and her team practiced outside until the sun set.  They had it so rough. : )

Potty Trained

It's official!  Dani is potty trained.  Actually, I didn't even do any training.  I just waited until she was so old that she knew exactly what she needed to and I put her lazy butt (literally lazy since if she has a diaper or pull up on, she won't go in the toilet) in underwear and ta da, she goes in the potty!!  All these overachieves trying to get their kids trained early make it so hard on themselves. :)  As a reward she wanted a LaLaLoopsy baby doll that you feed and it pees charms into a diaper.  SO ironic that she wanted a diaper baby and Lily wanted a Baby Alive for potty training -- both girls wanted babies in diapers to celebrate being out of diapers. Silly girls.

New Floors

We had a little slab leak in the garage/kitchen area that was pretty each to fix (for the plumber) but caused some small water damage to the wood floors by the kitchen table.  It ended up being the greatest thing ever since insurance gave us enough money to get all new wood floors and get the downstairs painted!!  Score!!  So we said goodbye to the dated wood floors and majority of the carpet and updated with darker, hand scraped wood.  It took about 3 days to finish the job, but the kids loved having to hang out in my bed and eat out nearly ever meal! :)

We had to get afterschool snacks at 7-11 and eat them in bed.  Such a rough life.

Of course now the banister didn't match which bugged me.  So I took the initiative and striped and stained it myself.

And finished the next morning.  SO much better!!  And so proud of myself!

Roller Babes

Grandpa bought the girls Roller Skates!!  Lily is super excited since she loves to skate.  Dani isn't quite sure what to do on wheels.  We had to practice a bit with her.  

Frozen On Ice

The same day as the Pinewood Derby and soccer game, we had tickets to see Frozen on Ice!!  We literally bought these tickets 300+ days ago in the midst of Frozen frenzy and even though that has died down some it was still a great show and fun night!

We had AMAZING seats.  Second row, right on the ice.  Considering the American Airlines Center was sold out, we had some of the best seats in the house.  It was awesome.  The kids got Olaf sno cones, which Dani pretty much sucked on the whole entire show. :)

Lily was farther down the row by her friends and Chip, so I didn't get many pictures of her.  But I had fun taking pictures of Dani watching the show.  She was SO cute and so in to it!!

It started with Minnie and Minnie and some Disney princesses. 

So happy!

The show was a recreation of the movie, but it was done very well.  Definitely lived up to Disney standards.  I loved every second it!

It even snowed!!  And since we were so close to the ice, we were in the middle of the snow storms which just really added to the whole experience.

Everyone came back out for the finale.  I really can't express how great of a show it was!!  I loved it and am so glad we went (and had good seats!)

They both passed on on the way home. It was such a busy, fun day!!!
