Even More Pictures!!

Chip's schedule has shifted around some at work lately, so he took Thursday off this week instead of Monday. So after school, we all went out to lunch and then ran a few errands. Thankfully, Dani did great and slept through lunch in her stroller -- I didn't have to rock her the whole time. But it was a loud restaurant and I think that helped. She looked so cute in her little summer outfit, that Lily and I had to take some pictures (Lily wanted her to sit with the lamb again).

Fresh Air -- I forgot what it was like!

The weather is finally starting to cool down some, so nearly* every night this week Chip has been grilling chicken outside for dinner. It is nice to all get out in the evening for a bit and get some fresh air!






* On Tuesday and Thursday nights for the month of September my friend, Meg, had set up a dinner train. So Patti, Jenn, Courtney, Heather, Meg, Jodi and Beth brought us dinner. It was a huge help, especially to Chip (aka "Super Dad" as he named himself during my bedrest) since he does most of the meal preparation lately and we were all getting SO sick of fast food and restaurant take out. I am kinda bummed it is over, it was nice getting to try different home cooked meals. I may even try to repeat a few of those recipes myself someday. We were so thankful and appreciative of the friends we have made here. They have definitely made Texas a home to us.

More 6 Week Pictures!

Wednesday evening, I decided to take more 6 week pictures of Danielle since I didn't get any great smiles in the morning.

Tap & Ballet

As I mentioned in the previous post, Dani and I went to watch Lily's dance class on Wednesday! I hadn't seen her tap yet (she started class the day Danielle was born and we stayed away to keep baby Dani away from germs). Lily is such a good tap dancer! She does all the moves and pays attention -- it is quite different from ballet last year. I am not sure if it is because she likes tap better or because she is a year older. Either way, she is doing really well at dance and I think she is finally really enjoying it! She has the same teacher, Ms. Crystal and Carys, of course, is in her class again. But so is Emily and Ashley!

6 Weeks Old!

I can't believe she is 6 weeks old already! It really has gone by super fast and I know that tomorrow she will be in Pre-K and Lily will be in 4th grade, so I am taking in every single second. We had a big day for her 6 week birthday. Dani and I went to my 6 week check-up at the doctors where she took a bottle from me (yeah! Just have to make sure to keep working on that) and then we surprised Lily by going to her dance class. It was so great to get back to life and civilization, but it was also pretty exhausting. Sitting on the couch for 14 weeks really makes you lazy and out of shape!!

On Tuesday evening while Danielle was laying on my lap she was just smiling up a storm. So I snapped all these pictures with my phone. She is too cute for words.

She is silly like her sister (and mother).

Rainforest Playtime!

Since I have a zillion photos of Lily playing in this rainforest, I can't slack off with Dani. Especially since it is really the only activity we do with the exception of sleeping, feeding and changing diapers. It entertains her for a little bit and Lily really likes it since she feels like she is actually playing with her sister -- something she is just dying to do more of.


I finally got the video camera out. I brought it to the hospital and everything, but we still hadn't taken any videos of Danielle. But now that she is cooing and smiling all the time, I had to get that on video. She is "talking" up a storm. When she is awake, fed and happy she'll just goo and ga and coo at you. It is beyond adorable and it melts my heart. She is so sweet.
