Another Fall Festival

Saturday night was the fall festival and trunk or treat at the church where Dani attends preschool.  We had never been, but figured we'd check it out. We even brought Grandma and Grandpa with us!!

They even got to wear their Halloween costumes!!

Honestly, it was a little smaller and underwhelming.  I thought there would be more.  But the girls had fun and Grandma and Grandpa got free Chili for dinner.  Score!

The cutest part even was when Dani found her friend Cooper who was dressed as Mario!!!  They were too cute together.  Cooper is the little brother of Lily's preschool friend Parker.  Lily and Parker were pretty close in preschool after they bonded over, wait for it . . . Mario Kart!!  Obviously, their little siblings were influenced.

Hip Hop

We got to go in and watch the girls hip hop again this week.  Lily looks so old in these pictures, it is so bittersweet.  But she is getting pretty good at the hop hop.  About 99% of the class is pretty stiff and uncoordinated -- I think it is the age, but Lily is starting to emerge and get a little better.  Love that little hip hopper!!

Itty Bitty

I have been cleaning out the house and getting rid of the baby gear (sniff sniff) and clothes, old toys, etc.  We just have too much crap!!  Of course Dani (and Lily) doesn't want to see it all go anymore than I do.  So Dani took one last chance to play with all the baby toys since she is still "itty bitty" as she likes to say.  

Dentist/ Tooth Fairy

Lily had a way over due Dentist appointment this week.  I was a tad nervous for her since I don't feel she is the best brusher.  Thankfully, no cavities and everything looked pretty good.  Although she did get a D grade for brushing and apparently it was SO gross that when the hygienist cleaned her teeth and got all the plaque off, Lily lost two teeth!!  They were being held on my gunk.  yuck!!

She slept in my bed that night since Chip was at work.  So the tooth fairy visited her in my bed which meant we were both covered in fairy glitter in the morning!!  Since she lost two teeth she got 2 $2 bills and lots of glitter!!  Thanks tooth fairy!!  (all the purple stuff on her pillow is glitter)

Monday Night Date

Lily has Brownies from 6:30-7:30 every other Monday night which is kinda too late for us, but we make it work.  Since Chip was working this night, I took Dani with me and we had a mini date night!  We went to Toys R Us, got frozen yogurt and played at the little play area.  It was fun!

You get the whole play area to yourself when you go at 7pm and it is getting dark!! :)

I'm Ready!

Dani got herself ready to go to grandmas.  She is wearing size 18M pants, a 2T shirt.  Made a bag for a sleeping bag into a backpack full of toys and added a pair of Mouse ears.  Total Dani style and totally cute!

 

Squishy Face

I can't recall if I've written about this or not yet, but sweet Dani has an odd comforting habit.  Some kids suck their thumbs. Lily twisted her hair.  Dani likes to squeeze my cheeks!!  She is constantly squeezing my cheeks.  It is so sweet and strange and I love every second of it.  Lately she just asks for them if she is upset, tired, whatever I head "Mommy, I need you cheek!!".  She likes them because they are "so soft and squishy".  I love this kid!!

Fall Festival

Friday night after soccer practice we headed back to Lily's school for the annual Fall Festival.  Lily loves it now that she is older and has so many friends there -- she just runs off with all her buddies and has a great time.  It's cute.
