Best Friends

It is SO sweet watching Dani and Abby's friendship grow.  Danielle is much more aware of Abby now and gets so excited to see her.  And Abby is always excited to see Dani and has been for awhile now.  After breakfast on Wednesday Abby came over to play for a bit before nap time and I managed to snap this photo of them giving each other a kiss.  They are just too cute for words!

Breakfast with the Babies

As is our new tradition we met Abby and Rhianon for breakfast on Wednesday.  But this week we had Macie and Elaine join us.  Macie is 11 days younger than Danielle, so it was fun getting all the babies together and they had fun sharing toast, eggs and snacks!

Sweet girls.

Off to Practice

This is how we roll to soccer practice every Monday!

And this is what I do at soccer practice . . .  Chase Dani off the field. :)

My Big Girl

My wittle baby is growing up WAY too fast!!  But I learned a lot with Lily and I am making sure that Danielle eats the same dinners we eat -- hoping to not have the same fussy issues we had with Lily.  So far Danielle will try pretty much anything you give her and likes most of it, so we are off to a good start!   Admittedly, I haven't cooked much lately.  Our schedules don't really allow for a time where we can all eat together.  But I started cooking again.  Lily, Dani and I eat dinner around 6 and Chip just reheats it when he gets home at 7:30.  Once daylight savings hits next month, it will be easier.   I usually make the same thing -- Chicken and broccoli.  :)  Thankfully, both girls are a fan!

Danielle LOVES broccoli!  Almost too much, I had to part with some of mine.

Last night I got crazy and added brown rice to the mix.  She was thrilled and even stole the fork out of my hand and started to feed herself!
Did I mention that she is growing up way too fast????

It was just too cute, she was having too much fun!

And this morning, she took her breakfast and started feeding herself.  I'm not ready to let my baby go!!

Wii Fun

Little Dani wants to do everything her big sister does.  It is so sweet.  On Sunday they played Wii Fit together.  I hope they remain this close, if not closer as they grow up!

Happy Birthday Bryan (and Chip and Adam)

Saturday was Chip and Adam's actual birthday, but Friday was Bryan's 40th.  So Patti threw him a casino themed surprise party.  The 6 of us went out to dinner first and then told Bryan a limo was picking us up to take us out for Chip's birthday . . . but when we got back to their house he was surprised by 40 of his friends and family!  It was a fun night.

Patti was nice enough to get an extra cake for Adam and Chip!
Rhiannon and Elvis
Playing blackjack.  I got blackjack 4 times!!
Roulette

A couple of jokers
The birthday boys!!

Happy Birthday Chip!

Yesterday was Chip's birthday.  It was a super busy Saturday, so we didn't get to celebrate him too much.  He had to go to work; Lily had a soccer game and soccer pictures; Lily went to Ashley's birthday party and then we had to go out to dinner with Patti, Bryan, Ben and Rhiannon before Bryan's 40th surprise party.  But in between all that (and a nap for Dani and a nap for Chip).  We found time to give him his presents -- we'll have to have the cake tonight.

The picture we took to send him at work and wish him a Happy Birthday!
Present time!  Lily got him a bag full of goodies from the Dallas Cowboy Proshop (and a new kitchen and new couches!)
Dani was having fun with the tissue paper!

It wasn't the most exciting celebration, but I hope he had a good birthday!!

Baithing Beauty

Danielle LOVES the bath.  In fact she usually screams when it is time to get out.  She loves to splash and dance and play.  She is just too cute!

Lunch with Lily

On Friday Dani and I went to the school to have lunch with Lily.  Anyone can go any day I had been waiting for her to get more comfortable with her classmates before I went and disrupted lunch time.  But she wanted me to come and I was more than happy to visit her at school!  It was fun eating on the stage in the cafeteria and seeing all the little kiddos!!  Lily said it was the highlight of her day!

Poor Danielle was so pooped after all the fun at school, I had to wake her for pick up 3 hours later!

Our Everyday Life

We are slowly adjusting to our new kindergarten schedule.  Mondays we have soccer practice.  Tuesdays are dance.  Wednesday Dani and I have breakfast with Abby, Rhiannon and Patti.  Thursday Dani has Gymoboree and Friday is either an errand or relaxing day.   It's working out pretty well.  But even though I should have more free time during the day to get work and housework done, I am farther behind than I ever have been.  Danielle is keeping me on my toes!!

For example -- here she is at Lily's soccer practice.  You see that tiny thing running out in the field.  That's her taking off.  I miss the days when she was scared to walk in the grass . . .  heck, I miss the days when she would sleep in her stroller. ;)

Stinky Pits!

When Lily was a tiny baby I started tickling her under her arms while yelling "stinky pits!!".  I have NO idea where this came from, but she would laugh and laugh and laugh so I would do it over and over.  Of course I started doing it with Danielle too and she loves it just like Lily did.  Last Friday Lily came home from school tired and cranky so I just tackled her and started doing the stinky pit thing to try to relieve some of the tension and moodiness.  It totally worked!!  I ended up chasing BOTH girls around and tickling them for well over an hour.  It was SO much fun.  We all loved it and it was great how much Dani got into it and knew what was happening.  When I would be tickling Lily, Dani would jump on my back and try to get me and when it was Dani's turn to get tickled she would run away laughing and screaming.  It was a great game and we've done it a few more times since.  I love these two girls they are SO much fun!!!

Computer Time

Hard at work ..  .  or maybe just checking facebook and pinterest! ;)

Soccer Saturday!

Another Saturday, another soccer game.  They are actually a lot of fun since Lily enjoys them and all our best friends are there.  Of course, it is getting more and more difficult to keep Danielle sitting nicely on the sidelines.  She has grown much more confident in her ability to walk and just wants to go go go.  So a lot of time is spent chasing Dani around the park and out onto the field.

Go Lily!!  She gets in there, but tends to be too polite and backs off.  I tired telling her this was the one time it is ok not to share and she needed to get in there and take the ball!!

On the way to the goal!  Lily kicked in down the field and Carys kicked it in!!  Perfect team work!
Go Lily go!!

Elmos!

Danielle has become obsessed with Elmo lately.  She loves to watch Sesame Street and especially loves to watch clips of just Elmo on youtube.  We have TONS of Elmo toys since Lily was also infatuated with the furry little red guy.  So I finally got up to the playroom and brought out tickle me Elmo and a couple Elmo dolls.  Dani was SO excited and got the biggest smile when she saw them.

Watching Tickle Me Elmo do his thing for the first time . . . .  not quite sure what is happening . . .
. . . starting to get into it and loving it!

Yay Elmo!!
But this baby Elmo is better since he holds a bottle she can suck on.  This kid tries to eat everything!!

Hugs for baby Elmo.
Let's try this tickle guy again. . . .

She was cracking up with Elmo.
This one, on the other hand, was afraid of the toy having seizures on the floor when she was a baby and not much has changed.  Lily was not a fan!
'I'm done with you for now.'

It was fun watching her play with the Elmo dolls.  It was great to see her so happy and excited and watch her face as the tickle Elmo came to life and rolled around the floor!
