Coach K

Lily's PE teacher, Coach K, told all the students in the entire school that if they brought her a schedule of their extra curricular sporting events she would come watch.  Lily was SO excited and brought her scheduled in on Friday.  And on Saturday Coach K came to watch the girls' play.  It was her 5th game of the day to watch and she said she loves watching the kids' games.  It is just so sweet of her and Lily was so appreciative.  It made Lily's day.

Coach K and her students, Sophie, Courtney and Lily -- and future student Dani!

Nap Time?

Dani is only 25 months old -- there is no way she is ready to give up naps.  I am definitely not ready!!  Yet, Thursday and Friday she just didn't nap.  She stood in her crib for over an hour each day and just yelled "Don't wanna go night night.  Don't wanna go night night!"  over and over and over again.  She didn't get a nap on Saturday either since Lily had an afternoon soccer game.  Yet, the thing is, you would never know she missed her nap -- she isn't anymore fussy or tired or winy.  So I'm still gonna try my hardest to get her down for a daily nap, but not freak out too much if it doesn't happen.  Thankfully, today she fell asleep -- it took a bit, but she did it.

Somebody help meeeee!!!!
Saturday night after dinner . . .  maybe it was starting to catch up with her.

Play Doh

Dani has been WAY into the Play Doh this week.  It's cute and fun, but it often looks like a rainbow took a dump on the kitchen floor by the time she is done.

"Cheers" with our ice cream.
She's just cool like that.

Date Night with Grandpa!

Unfortunately Grandma hurt her back and couldn't use her ticket to the theater to see "Peter and the Star-catcher" this week.  So Grandpa took Lily.  Lily was a little apprehensive at first since she usually gets scared at plays and movies, but I really encouraged her to go and she LOVED it.  Grandpa thought it was the worst play ever, but Lily was memorized and loved every second.  It was cute and I am so glad they both had a great time together.

Dani was bummed she didn't get to go with "ga-pa-pa" too.

Little Miss Personality

Dani is such a fun crazy little girl with tons of personality.  She is usually always so happy and never ceases to make me laugh.  She constantly keeps me entertained.  Here are some Dani highlights from the week:

Me and my baby playing in the Princess tent.

Dani getting ready for nap time.

Coloring her doll.
Poor baby doll, but Dani was so proud of her pretty doll -- now they both have crazy hair!

Waiting for Lily to walk home from Cora's house.
She picked out this ensemble to pick Lily up from school -- she is really into glasses lately.

Enjoying her soft pretzel from Target.
Headed to the soccer field to watch Lily's game.

Pillow Fights!

Somehow the girls ended up in Lily's bed on Sunday afternoon having pillow and stuff animal fights and just general rough housing.  These two LOVE to get riled up.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Chip's birthday was pretty uneventful this year.  He worked both his jobs over the weekend and had a big test to study for.  So we didn't see a while lot of him and didn't do anything too special.  The girls made him cards, gave him the pictures we took for him, Lily and I had made him his birthday coffee cake for breakfast and has a birthday cake waiting for him when he got home and I reminded him that I bought tickets to the Eagles concert for us as his present.  All things considered, I think he had a good day.

Making daddy cards.

Three Cheers for Daddy!

Last weekend the girls and I went to the high school track to take pictures for Chip's birthday.  I got him tickets to go see the Eagles next month, but wanted to do something else for him.  I took pictures of the girls in Cowboy jerseys one Father's Day and he LOVED it.  So since we had Lily's old cheerleader costume that fits Dani now, I got one for Lily and we had a photo shoot.  I think they turned out so cute.  The girls had fun taking the pictures and Chip loved them!
