Dani wanted me to buy her new "books" on her Disney Storyteller app. You have to buy credits to purchase books. I told her she didn't have any credit and that I didn't have any credit. Next thing I know, she is back with my wallet, pulls out a credit card and goes, "here ya go!". So of course I had to buy her some credits for books. She is too cute and smart!!

Summer -- Week 2
Soccer camp wasn't the only fun we had this week. On Monday Chip and I took Lily and Carys and Matthew to see Malificent. It was actually really good. I did not care to see it (shockingly, Lily wanted to) and I really liked it!
Dani got new headphones for our upcoming vacation and for use around the house on her ipad. She loves them and sports them all around town. Here she is picking up Lily from Soccer Camp.
On Wednesday after camp Cora came over and wanted to watch Annie. I was thrilled!! That was my favorite movie and i've been trying to get Lily to watch it for years. Dani was pretty into it . . . .
Thursday after soccer we hit the pool for the first time this year!! The girls we SO happy. Lily was off swimming with Cora and Dani started off in the "baby pool". After awhile I got her into the big pool and she loved it even more. She can "swim" all over by herself with her little flotation device. It is awesome and she loves it.
Jennifer went and got the girls all milkshakes. Perfect poolside treat!
Dani "painted her face" and was very proud.
She also wore a bucket on her head for awhile.
On Friday night Lily went to spend the night at Cora's and Chip was at work, so Dani and I played in the newly cleaned out and improved playroom (I spent most the week purging their toys and bringing 90% of them upstairs. I am SO over the constant mess down stairs and Dani doesn't mind playing upstairs alone. I filled three garage bags of trash and 5+ with toys to sell. I am pretty proud of myself!)
Then we did this.
This is Dani's night time routine. EVERY night she had 2 of these fruit and yogurt "squeezers"in our bed. They are essentially her dinner.
Around 9:45 I got a phone call from Lily that she missed me and wanted to come home, which is rather weird. It's not her first sleepover, or her first time at Cora's. So they brought her home and she slept in bed with me. I'm not complaining!!
Another fun week of Summer, down!

Soccer Camp
Lily usually doesn't do any camps throughout the summer, even though most people do and multiple themed camps are offered every week. I am more of a fan of unscheduled summer fun or boredom. Both are good for the kids. But Cora wanted to try the camp and encouraged Lily to go too. Since Lily really enjoys soccer, I figured an extra week of skills would probably be good for her. It was from 8:30-11:30 am (before it got too hot) at a nearby park and was hosted by UK Elite soccer. It was actually a pretty great camp. Lily loved it and asked if she could do it again. All the coaches were awesome and encouraging and learned all the kids' names and skills. And even if Lily didn't pick up any new skills, it was good to get outside and exercise a little everyday. Thankfully, the weather was pretty nice. The last day (the hottest day with no cloud cover and no breeze) the parents were invited to come watch their "World Cup" scrimmages.
Lily on defense and Cora as goalie
Dani saw these girls playing and went and asked if she could be their friend and play too.
It was getting hot -- Cora was getting tired! :) They both were.
Lily and coach Christian. It was a great experience. We may do it again.

Father's Day!
Sadly, I didn't get a single picture of Chip with the girls on Father's day. How awful is that? But they made him hand painted boxes, frames, and DAD letters. It was very cute and they were very excited. We relaxed all morning and then went to Grandpa and Grandma's for more fun and lunch and dessert.
Grandpa and the girls made a wooden model of a cricket.
They played outside for a bit.
We played Simon Says and Dan't favorite part was "Simon Says to make funny faces"
Dani being "simon"
Our Simon games get weird.
Earlier in the day we went to lunch at La Finca. In the evening, we weren't really hungry for another meal, so we just went out for dessert!
It was a good Father's Day!
