I had planned out where we would go on what days before we left. I figured after being away from the Magic Kingdom (aka Disneyland) for a few days we would want to go back before exploring Epcot. I was right! The weather went from 80 and muggy on Tuesday to cold and rainy. It was actually PERFECT!! The rain wasn't much of an issue and it kept all the crowds away. I was shocked at how crowded Walt Disney World was this time of year given all the stats and websites that said this week is literally the least busy of the year. I would hate to see it in the summer!! This day was perfect, practically perfect in every way! The weather was helpful, the crowds were gone and we got to go on a LOT of rides and attractions -- 17 in total (I think it was). Which is pretty amazing for a 11 hour day, especially since that isn't counting meals or fireworks!!
Pre-breakfast appetizers in bed to start the day off!
We had breakfast at the Crystal Palace restaurant with Pooh and friends.
After breakfast we met Tinkerbell and Periwinkle.
I was SO excited when everyone actually wanted to go through the Swiss Family Robinson treehouse. I love the classic Disney attractions -- it's more about the nostalgia, so I was happy to share it with Lily who loved it. Hopefully, she'll watch the movie with me now!
This is pretty much how it went -- pushing a stroller filled with our crap while Dani ran along side it. She did NOT want her stroller and literally ran through all the parks everyday. She never got tired or wore out, never tried to nap. She was amazing -- my little energizer toddler!
The Magic Carpets of Aladdin were fun -- they were just like Dumbo! We went on twice in a row!
Dani LOVED them. She was SO happy to finally be on a ride. While Lily is more of a show person, Dani (and I) wanted rides!! We were at Disney World and tired of sitting and watching!
Jungle Cruise. Lily was scared to go on it (she is crazy like that and takes a while to warm up to rides), but loved it of course.
Getting Lily to go on Pirates of the Caribbean was a challenge and we've been working on it for weeks. It is too scary for her. I tried to put it in perspective and show her how it was just like Small World, but the dolls were dressed as pirates. So I asked her how she would describe "Small World" to someone thinking she would say something like 'ride in a boat and watch dolls sing'. Instead she said, "Ride around in a boat and be bored." Hahaha! Nonetheless, Pirates could be explained the same way. We got it to go. We had the whole boat to ourselves which was awesome! She survived and was maybe a little scared, but realized it wasn't that bad. I was disappointed since there was only one small drop -- not a big and small one.
On our private boat!
This looks about right . . . .
I didn't push my luck getting Lily to ride on the Haunted Mansion with me, so I took Danielle. I don't think she quite knew what was going on. But she didn't seem too traumatized.
There she goes again, double fisting those snacks!!
Teacups!! We went on twice in a row. The girls love the teacups. Dani kept yelling "Faster Daddy! Faster!" and when Chip would stop spinning, she would yell and grab the wheel herself. Surprisingly, I survived the wild ride.
They are building a new Dwarf's Mine Ride in the middle of Fantasyland.
Buzz Lightyear
People Mover!!! I was super excited they still had the People Mover. It didn't go through Tron, but it was still a nice random ride. Lily loved it -- it was totally her speed.
We even ran into "Push" the tomorrowland trashcan. He is like a robot that interacts with the kids. (The guy controlling him and talking was keeping a low profile off to the side).
Lily had fun taking self portraits when the camera was hanging around my neck.
Autopia! Or the Tommorwland Speedway as it is called here.
"This ride would be so much better if they didn't have that thing in the road." -- Lily, referring to the track that she kept crashing in to.
Chip and Dani are in the red car.
Dani is driving -- can you see her?
Next up were Winnie the Pooh and Peter Pan. The Pooh ride was cool since the line had all kind of toys and interactive games to play while you wait -- too bad we didn't have a longer wait.
Part of Ariel's collection in the line for the Ariel ride.
Meeting Ariel
Before dinner we went to the Monster's Inc, Laugh Factory which was a fun little show.
Dinner at Tony's -- where Lady and the Tramp fell in love.
After dinner it was time for the Magic light show on the castle where they projected movie scenes and images set to Disney Music. Then it was fireworks!
Dani fell asleep on the bus ride home again. We had a busy, fun day!!
Treat time for Mommy after a super fun day!!
