When we were at Disney World all Lily really really wanted to do was go in the pool. That girl loves to swim and splash!! But, I didn't go all the way to Disney to swim, so we didn't get to spend much time in the pool. So we though it would be fun during Spring Break to take them to Great Wolf Lodge. It is only about 30 minutes away, but it is a big resort with a huge indoor waterpark. A lot of Lily's friends have been so she was super excited to go!!
We've arrived!
First stop -- lunch. That long drive made us hungry. :)
Then we hit the water! You can't check into your room until 4pm, but you can start playing at 1.
Both girls loved the toddler area, which was nice since that was really all Dani could do on her own. And yes, I bought a water proof case for my phone so I could at least get some pictures!!
Me and the girls in the lazy river.
Shockingly, Dani didn't really like the baby slides. She was scared.
There were three main areas -- the toddler area, a middle area for bigger kids with decent size slides (which technically Dani could use, but she'd have to go alone and that wasn't happening). Lily loved the middle slides. I was SO proud of her. There were fast and fun! There were also big water slides that spun you around (one was called the twisted tornado), Chip and I took turns trying those, but Lily would not go. Probably for the best. They also had a lazy river and a wave pool!

That splash is Chip coming down.

After a few hours of playing, we went to the room, showered and hit the hotel for dinner and fun.
They had this fun coloring area while we waited for a table.
After dinner the girls got cupcakes and then we went to storytime at the Clock Tower.
It was cute. Kids were encouraged to come in their pjs and slippers. It had a fun camp feel.
Then they got to meet Sammy the Squirrel!! They have all these characters that they act like we should know and love (ala Mickey and Minnie), but we had no idea who they were.
Then it was back to our room for bed. I was exhausted!!
The kids got to sleep in the Kid Kamp area. Lily was excited to sleep on the top bunk -- we set up the pack and play for Dani.
