Friday was the 1st Grade Field Trip to the Dallas Zoo! Lily was so excited. They divided the classes into groups of 4 and Lily got a great group -- Abby, Tanner and Lilliana. Lily and Abby are great friends and Lily has been friends with Tanner (and has had a crush on Tanner) since last year. Technically, Abby's mom was the official chaperone for the group, but Tanner's Mom and myself went down to the zoo to join in on the fun! It was a perfect day -- there was a slight traffic issue on the way down, but the kids had fun on the bus and once we got there they were raring to go! Weather was perfect. It was crowded with TONS of field trips, but we didn't have to stick with the class or any other group -- it was just us to take the day how we wanted. So we hit all the major animals and made sure everyone got to see their favorite. We actually got through most of the zoo. It was a super fun day!!
Tanner and his gals -- Abby, Lily and Lilliana. That's what we called them, "Tanner's Gals".
Lily and Logan. It was fun constantly running into friends and classmates!
Lily and Courtney
We were watching a bird demonstration and this crazy thing went rogue, flew past the zookeeper and came straight for us in a spastic flight pattern. It was HILARIOUS! Look at that very un-magestic creature. I am SO grateful I am able to go on these field trips with her!! (Thanks to Grandma for keeping Dani all day!)
