Pumpkin Carving

We carved our pumpkins on Halloween Eve Eve since Chip had to work the night before (which is when we usually do it).  Instead of our usual traditional Jack-o-lantern, the girls picked out a Mickey Mouse pattern book at Target.  Dani decided to do Daisy Duck and Lily picked Minnie Mouse.

Imprinting the stencil.

She started out ready to dig in . . . .
 . . . the touched it . . . .
. . . and refused to do anymore.  This is her "NO!  I'm not gonna do it" pout.
But I talked her in to trying some more.
"Help!  I need a napkin!"

Chip helped Lily out.

She actually tasted the pumpkin, but wasn't a fan and wouldn't take another bite.

Lily had EVERY intention of carving, cleaning and doing it all herself.  I was very proud of her.  But she needed some of my help since she was taking forever taking one seed out at a time.  :)
I ended up doing the Daisy one and most of the Minnie one (carving anyway since it was intricate).  And I kind of messed up the Minnie one.

Ta Da!!  Best family ever!!
