This Week in New Outfits

Trying to get pictures of Danielle is getting a little more challenging since she hardly ever holds still anymore and is always on the go.   Here she was off in pursuit of a cat toy which I let her hold just to keep her still.

This was an outfit of Lily's.

All ready for Lily's Pre-K graduation presentation on Friday.

More Trampoline Fun

The trampoline came at the best time.  Chip has finals this week, so to say he is stressed out would be a major understatement.   I think it did him a world of good yesterday afternoon to take a study break and just go outside and jump away some of that stress.  Needless to say Lily was in heaven, she LOVED having Daddy out there jumping with her!!  I'm not sure who was having the most fun, Lily, Chip or me just watching them together!

When he would bounce, Lily would go flying!

 Doing tricks.
Lily didn't even have to try to bounce, daddy had her all her that trampoline.

Posing for the camera.

Fresh Beat Band

Today I surprised Lily by taking her to see the Fresh Beat Band.  She first became obsessed with the Fresh Beat Band last summer when she would watch their TV show on Nick Jr while I was stuck on bed rest.  Lily LOVES music and wants to be a rockstar when she grows up, so this show is right up her ally.  I knew when I heard they were touring that we had to go.  Since Chip has finals tomorrow and Tuesday, he needed to study this weekend, so Grandma and Grandpa watched Danielle and Lily and I had a special date to go to the concert!  I didn't tell her we were going until yesterday.  She was surprised and excited, but also kinda pissed at me for not telling her they were coming to Dallas.

Quality mommy/Lily time while we waited for the concert to start.

Even I was a little startstruck.  I mean, I too, have watched all their shows and listed to the CD over and over.  I admit, I was pretty excited to see them.  And it helped that we had fantastic seats.  Right in the center, 10 rows from the stage.  It was perfect . . .
It got even better when a handful of kids ran up to watch from the very front row.  Lily asked if she could go to and since I could clearly see her the whole time, I let her go!!  You can see her in the above and following photos -- she is dead center above, in front of the stairs with the pink flowers on the left side of her head!!  I was SO proud of her for rushing the stage and joining in on the mini mosh pit!  She was jumping up and down the whole time and rocking out!!  She even got to touch Marina and Kiki when they reached out off the stage.  This was the greatest night of her life so far!

She's still up there in the very front!

At intermission she came back to her seat and security cracked down and didn't let anyone up in the front again until the last song.  But Twist came up our aisle and she got to give him a high five.  So she had physical contact with 3 of the 4 band members -- pretty good for her first concert!!!
It really was a great show!!  We both had so much fun.  I can't remember the last time I have seen Lily so happy.  I actually teared up a little at seeing her so happy.  She has had a tough time at school with her "friends" lately and even though she has been amazing with the addition of Danielle to our family, I know it has been hard on her.  We needed this fun outing and quality time.  I loved every second of it and can't wait until they tour again!

Tool-Girl

I HAD to post these since they are the dorkiest pictures even taken of Lily.  :)  She looked so cute dressed up in her tools.  My favorite part is the tag from her pajama pants which are on inside-out and backwards.

Trampoline!

My parents bought Lily a trampoline for her birthday, but we were waiting till winter was over to set it up.  (Of course, we didn't get much of a winter this year.)  Grandpa came by Saturday morning and put it up in the backyard and Lily is in heaven.  She hasn't stopped bouncing!!  She LOVES it. Seriously loves it more than anything else she has even gotten.  She would never go out backyard by herself, even though I am right inside and can see her through the windows, but with this up, she has been outside every chance she gets for the last two days.  She bounced all day yesterday and woke up this morning and went out in her pajamas.  I hope she keeps this up -- it is great exercise and a great way to get out some of her crazy energy!!

Danielle and I sat outside with her for a bit last night.  Danielle had fun swinging -- I don't even have to turn the swing on anymore, she gets that thing swinging so fast on her own!

Danielle also got a new bouncy toy on Saturday.  We borrowed Rhiannon's bouncer for Danielle.  We only had a bouncer that attached to the doorway with Lily, so this is a little easier to use.  She was loving the toys and loved to be bounced, but hasn't quite figured out how to bounce herself yet.
Danielle wanted to check out the trampoline!

Lazy Mornings

Weekend mornings when Danielle and I wake up before everyone else, but Mommy is not quite ready to get out of bed yet, we have fun time with the ipad!  We both love this time!

Our Week

Lately we have gotten into quite a nice schedule during the week.  Monday's after school are usually out running errands, going to the grocery store and sometimes have playdates with Grandma.  Tuesdays after school and stay and play we meet up with Matthew, Carys and Abby at the park and then go out for frozen yogurt.  Wednesday after school is dance.  Thursdays are exactly the same as Tuesdays - park and "ice cream" and Fridays are usually a relaxing day at home or running any extra errands that need to get done.  It is a nice schedule and works well with naps for Danielle.  Of course it is almost summer vacation and then all that will change again.

Here are some of Miss Danielle's fashion choices for the week:

Lily's old romper-type outfit.  It is nice that since Lily was bigger for her age and Danielle is smaller, the seasons are kind of matching up even though Lily was a January baby and Danielle was born in August!  Of course I do have some cute 9mo sweaters and sweatshirts that Dani will probably never get to wear.

Another outfit of Lily's.

I just bought this one for her!  She was all dressed and ready to go cheer on Matthew at his soccer game on Saturday morning.

Sisters

My two little weirdos both chewing on the same toy cookie at the same time.  At least they are sharing!

Miss Mischief

After figuring out how to crawl on Friday evening, the first thing she did Saturday morning was crawl over to the door in the entertainment hutch that holds her toys.  She opened and closed the door for a bit, since that is aways super fun for babies, and then proceeded to take out all the toys.  It was so cute -- like she had been waiting 8 months to get over there and do that.  I loved it because it kept her entertained for awhile!

 Open . . .
 Closed.

 All the way open!
 Now the fun begins!

Crawling!!

We have a crawler!!  Danielle teetered on the edge of crawling for a couple weeks now.  She'd get up on her knees and take one knee forward and stop.  Finally on Friday, May 4th (exactly 5 years to the day after Lily rolled over for the first time) she took that extra "step" and crawled across the room.  I was excited for her and proud of her, but at the same time I am not looking forward to the new obstacles ahead.  She is already getting into things and just beelines directly for the DVD player.  So, we'll have to make some adjustments.   It was nice to be able to put her down and not have to really worry about her or Lily's toys, but it is a whole new world now.   My baby is growing up too fast.

Shopping

Just chillaxin at the store.  This is how I roll.

Dr Lily

Lily loves to play around with Chip's medical supplies.  She know how to listen to your heart and likes to pretend to take your blood pressure and have hers taken.  Hopefully this will stick with her and she'll want to have a career in the medical field -- of course the way she FREAKS out when she has a scratch that is not even bleeding, but claims dramatically that there is SO MUCH BLOOD makes me a tad bit skeptical.
