Thanksgiving

We all went to my parent's for Thanksgiving.  Well, everyone but Chip.  He sprained his back a few weeks back and it just got worse and worse until he literally couldn't move on Wednesday night.  So he went to the doctor and was told to stay in bed and rest it for  3-5 days.  He didn't want to risk it trying to get to my Mom's and he couldn't sit up to eat dinner anyway, so he stayed home in bed and I brought him food after we ate.  I hated to have a holiday without him and I know he hated to miss out and spend time with family, but the poor guy was in so much pain.

Besides missing Chip and Danielle sleeping in late and her nap schedule off which made for a fussy baby (I think she wasn't feeling well), it was a great day!  Lily had a blast playing with her cousins and Danielle loves the freedom of running all over my parent's house.  It is very exhausting chasing her, but she is so happy.

Eating chips on the stairs.
Playing on  the stairs.
I love my babies!
Dinner time.

Danielle LOVES cranberry sauce.
In awe of Aunt Linda's olive fingers.
After dinner we went to the golf course to play around.  It was closed for the holiday, so we got to ride carts and play without having to worry about golfers.
It's better than the park!  There are rock piles . . .

tractors . . .
and mountains of sand!

Danielle was slightly overdressed to play in the maintenance yard.  It's like a high fashion photo shoot.
Cart rides!

On the way home we saw a beautiful rainbow.  It took over the sky and we could see both ends.
Reading books with Jeremy to end the night.

My Girls

We walked to the corner of my parent's street to get a family picture of my sister's family.  While we were there, I tried to get a photo with my girls.  Danielle wasn't too into it.

But they were super cute walking home.   I love my sweet babies.

Christmas Card / 15 Month Photos!

I got the great idea to decorate the bridge in our neighborhood in garland and lights and take pictures for our Christmas cards.  Since Dani turned 15 months old just a few days before, I count this as her 15 month pictures.  I tried to remain positive and think happy thoughts, but I knew that getting a good picture of both girls would be a challenge.  In fact, I didn't get any card worthy pictures on the bridge -- we had to switch things up some and move locations.  But I did get a picture that morning -- I'll post it once the cards go out.  But here are some of the outtakes that make me laugh.  You can see the issues I faced here.

Ok Dani, please just stand next to Lily . . .

She's so beautiful.
"What?"
almost.
I'm outta here!
"Just hold still and smile Danielle!"

"Screw this."

SO close!
"Oh look a leaf . . . "

Probably one of the best ones.

This one is cute.

Since Dani would not hold still for more than 1 second, we tried walking across the bridge, but that didn't work either.  I got some cute pictures and it is funny to see Danielle running off to the side.  I have to give Lily tons of credit.  She did great and we all had fun even if our mission was not quite accomplished.
