Dani's First Day of School

This week it is Dani's turn to go back to school!  She is in the Blue Room this year with Ms Nancy and Ms Jill and goes to school on Monday, Wednesday and Thursdays!  She was excited to go to the Blue room and has most of the same kids in her class as last year -- with the exception of a few girls.  There are 12 boys in the Blue room and only 3 girls!  But she doesn't seem too phased by this which is good.  Boys are fun too!

(warning -- there are lots of pictures.  She is just too cute to edit them down!)

Cleanin'

The weekend after Lily's first week of school, we just hung out at home (after the two soccer games).  That first week back, waking up early, staying on schedule, is EXHAUSTING for all of us!!  So we relaxed, hung out at home and got some much needed cleaning done -- including Lily's closet.  She grew 4.5 inches in the last year!!!  That is a LOT.  So most of her clothes don't really fit anymore.  We we bagged up 4 (!!) bags of clothes to save for Dani.

Soccer Saturday!!

Soccer Saturday has a whole new meaning now since we have 2 games to watch!!  Thankfully, the first week and most of the time Dani's game is at 9am and then Lily's is at 10:30 which just works out perfectly.   I can not tell you how excited I was for Dani's first game.  It is so fun at this age because usually they are not paying attention, picking flowers, chasing butterflies, etc.  Dani for some reason was NOT excited like she was for practice.  She was scared and didn't want to play.  But I got her dressed, drug her down there and just as I had hoped she snapped out of it and got out there.

My Purple Penguin ready to go!

My soccer stars!

Go #4!!

You would have never know that Dani was ever hesitant to play, only 4 years old or playing her first ever game. She was AMAZING.  She chased after that ball, always knew which direction to go, turned the ball around which was a skill Lily learned in like 1st grade.  I was shocked and impressed.  She scored 2 goals and had a great time!!  In fact all but one of her teammates scored at least one goal.  Looks like the Purple Penguins are the team to beat!

Next up was the Roos game.  Now Lily's team has never been the best team, but those girls have fun trying.  This year they moved up to huge fields.  Nearly regulation size, so that is a lot more field to cover and a lot more running.  They seemed to all do okay with the bigger field and bigger goal.  They didn't win, but they sure looked cute out there!

Super Defender Lily!

Coach K, the PE coach from Lily's (and Sophie, Courtney, Katelyn and Logan) school came out to watch the game.  She is amazing and so supportive of her students!!
I promised Dani ice cream if she made a goal and then had to promise McDonalds if she would just go out on the field.  She got both!!
