Lily's 9th Birthday Limo Party

Sweet Lily got the amazing idea to have a limo birthday party.  She really really really wanted to get dressed up and have a limo come to pick up her friends and take them to dinner and then they could all spend the night afterwards.  This sounded like a great plan to me -- only problem was that it was way more money than I wanted to (or should) spend on a 9 year old's birthday party.  Fortunately, I have very smart friends who suggested we do it during the break on a weeknight, when Limo rates are like 50% less than they are on a Saturday night!  So that's what we did and she got her party on a Monday night!

All dressed up and ready to go!

The limo was running late -- so she opened presents before we left.  She got a Coach wristlet from Caroline!!!
A "Lily" shirt from Sophie.
Lots of gift cards.

And all kinds of fun stuff!

Finally, out stretch Hummer party limo showed up!!
Caroline, Ellis, Avery, Abby, Courtney, Logan, Harper, Caroline, Sophie, Lily, Carys, Abby and Dani!

We all toasted Happy Birthday to Lily with sparking Cider and Sprite.

My friends, Christie, Julie and Rhiannon came along for the party too!

No party is complete without these two!!
Courtney, Charly and Caroline.
We went to the Magic Time Machine restaurant for dinner.  It is a fun crazy themed restaurant where the waiters are different characters.  It was perfect.  The kids loved it.

They were obsessed with getting everyone's autographs.  Here is Princess Peach . . .
So you know Dani was thrilled!

They brought a Birthday cake to Lily.

Cinderella and the Big Bad Wolf sang to her.
Getting more autographs.

Me, Julie, Christie and Rhiannon got to eat in an Apollo spaceship!

Lily also got to sit for a character drawing of herself.
Back on the Hummer to head home!
The girls were a little more wild on the ride home -- which was awesome.  The music was going and they were singing, dancing and having a great time.

Doing the "Whip and Nae Nae" dance.

Back at home with had cake waiting.

Then they all got settled and watched a movie.
Told some scary ghost stories . . . and finally went to sleep at like 1am!!!
We had fruit and donuts for breakfast.
I had a great time and I'm pretty sure all the girls did too!!  Just not sure how we're going to top this next year . . .

Day After Christmas

Usually I love to just lounge in the Christmas mess for days and explore and play with all our new stuff, but this year we are having Lily's birthday party a week early -- which means, we need to get this mess cleaned up!

And what a mess it is.
Dani modeling her new scarf and makeup.

Unfortunately, the day after Christmas also brought bad weather and tornado sirens.  None of which affected us, but many neighborhoods not too far away (and too close for my comfort) were lost.

Christmas Day

Christmas Day is finally here!!  The best day of the year!!  The girls were so excited to wake up and run downstairs to see what awaited them and open all their presents!  I posted the pic of all that was waiting for them in the last post -- and after spending 4+ hours putting that Frozen castle together, Chip couldn't wait for Dani to see it -- of course she screamed and ran right past it . . . to her scooter from Santa!! :)  It was pretty funny.  But they were both overwhelmed and overjoyed with the new castle, scooter, Ugg Boots and bean bags!!  Not to mention the stockings stuffed with goodies and all the presents from us.  I know it is all WAY too much -- but they are growing up so fast and these overboard Christmas mornings (like the kind I grew up with) are so fun for all of us.

Going through their stockings.
Opening presents.

Lily designed these shoes online.
Lily's new Vera Bradley backpack that she had to have.   Ugg Boots, Vera Bradley, etc.  She is growing up TOO fast.  (although she still asked for Barbies too).

Lily's faces crack me up.
Basking in the mess after the frenzy.

Dani playing with her new Chubby Puppies.

We are SO cute in our matching pajamas.

I got an amazon Echo and this amazing pillow from Chip!

After a fun, perfect morning, we got dressed up and met Grandma, Grandpa and Paula at the Gaylord Brunch like we do every year.

It is all delicious, but dessert is especially yummy!

Especially with the chocolate fountain!

Merry Christmas!!!
