Road Trip to Colorado!!!

Rhiannon's parents have a mountain house in Cordelia Colorado.  She has been talking about us all going up for a vacation for years now.  Unfortunately Ben had to work and couldn't  make this trip, but that didn't stop us girls.  Rhiannon, her mom -Elan, Me, Patti and the kids all decided to go to Colorado without the husbands for 10 days (12 total when you include days on the road).  Elan very generously let Patti and I borrow her Suburban so Patti, Emily, Lily, Danielle, myself and all our luggage could fit in one car.  It is about 1000 miles from home and with the kids it is quite a trek.  So we stopped in Kansas overnight and made it a two day drive each way.  I was pretty nervous about how Dani would do -- she has never been in a car longer than 30 minutes!!  She started out way fussy, but quickly shaped up and was perfect!  It helped that I let her snack in the car for the first time and let her watch Mickey Mouse on the ipad.  All the kids did great -- it was a hugely successful road trip and considering we were in the car for 9 hours each day -- it went my really fast!

All ready to go!!

Kristen Got Married -- Finally!

The weekend of July 28th Chip and I went to California for my good friend Kristen's wedding.  Chip, Kristen and I met at CBS and she was a bridesmaid in our wedding.  While I hated to leave my baby girls (even for one night), I really hated to miss being there for Kristen.  So Chip and I left Saturday morning, flew to LA (via Salt Lake City), had lunch at the hotel, got ready, went to the wedding and flew home Sunday morning.  It was a super quick trip, but it was a great get away.  The wedding was the the Beverly Wilshire (The Reg Bev Wil from "Pretty Woman"), so it was nice to get away in style and catch up with good friends that we had not seen in years!  Plus, I was very proud of myself for leaving the baby and I was even more proud of the babies for being so good for Grandma and Grandpa!

Catching Up

I think this is the longest I've ever gone without a blog post -- nearly 3 weeks!  I have been traveling around the country -- I hit 7 states in 5 days!!  But I'll get to that in a bit, here are some random pictures from before we left on our adventures:

My baby isn't really a baby anymore.  We moved her to a big girl car seat, so I had to get a picture of one of her last times in the infant carrier.  Seems like just yesterday she was in there all tiny coming home from the hospital.
Eating pretzels at the mall!
We went shopping for new couches and Lily decided she needed a bunk bed!!  (she's not getting one)
Playing with Daddy's glasses.

Riding the rides outside a restaurant!

Painting nails at Emily's house.
Getting a mani/pedi with mommy!
Danielle eating Salmon!!!!  Not sure where she came from, but Chip gave her some of his dinner and she ate it up!

Danielle and her dirty hoe. :)
The cutest, silliest baby on the planet!

Dance Till You Drop!

I messed up when I was filming this video with my phone and accidentally covered the speakers, so there is no sound.  But Danielle was SO funny dancing to Lily's TV program, Lazytown. She literally danced till she fell over.  It was so cute!
