Aquarium

With half of their earnings from cookie sales, the girls choose to go to the aquarium.  So Saturday morning we all went out to the Sealife Aquarium in Grapevine. I'd never been here, but it was a cute little aquarium in the mall and perfect for the kids.  I think all the girls had fun, it was a perfect little outing.

Saturday Morning Cartoons

Daisy Thursday

Thursday after school was busy with Girl Scouts activities.  First was a field day with a Brownie troop.  The Brownies were working on getting a patch and we were there to play games and help.  I think the girl's had fun.  Although, Lily was a little bored at first and her facial expression in the top picture pretty much summed up what she thought of the games.

After field day we had our last meeting of the year.  It was a special End of Year Party and Awards ceremony.  It was cute, they had it set up with an Academy Awards theme complete with red carpet.

They handed out patches and pins that the girls won throughout the year as the "Awards".  Lily got a patch for perfect attendance, cookie sales, etc.  I even got a award for being a volunteer -- I organized the snack schedule and was the troop photographer!

After all the awards, they had a dance party and cupcakes.

Mother's Day

My Mother's Day was just perfect -- but then again, any day that I get to spend with my two favorite girls is perfect.  The morning started out with Chip taking the girls so I could sleep in and then surprising me with McDonald's breakfast in bed - it was all Lily's idea.  Then I got presents from Lily that she made at school.  It was a pretty low key morning and afternoon since Chip had to study for finals and Dani took a 3 hour nap!!  (Thanks Dani -- that was the best gift!)  Once Dani finally woke up we went to my Mom's house to play Disney Apples to Apples and order pizza.  It was a simple, yet wonderful Mother's Day.

Soccer Saturday

This weekend was our last soccer game for the Spring season.  To my surprise Lily was actually really sad about this!  She says she is starting to really like soccer now and it shows.  She has improved so much this season and is really in there and kicking the ball.  I am so proud of her.  It is so fun to watch her play!

These two are almost as much fun and the game to watch.  They are a couple of characters.

After our last game we all went to the park for an after party and reward ceremony.  Dani went straight for the playground and had a blast on the slide nearly the whole time.  She looks SO grown up -- it may be the hair do, I might have to stop with the pigtails!  I can't take it that she looks so old already!
