4th of July

Last night we went up the street to the Red White and Boom celebration. It was a lot like the one we went to last week -- food, bounce houses, music and fireworks! My parents came with us and Lily was excited to get see the fireworks again with Grandma and Grandpa.

All ready to go!

Watching the airplanes fly by -- they had a flyover with old WWII planes.

The kid activity area.

Grandma, Lily and Grandpa riding the train.

Chip and I were laughing as we watched them go around because Lily looked kinda unsure the whole time . . . .
but then she refused to get out -- so she definitely enjoyed it!

They had some little games set up for the kids to win tickets and get prizes (all for free). Here I am trying to get Lily to play the bean bag toss with me. She threw a couple and got a ticket, but really wasn't that into it.

With the one ticket she won at the bean bag toss, she got a little 4th of July bear!

Lily (and my Dad) were fascinated with the dunk tank. They sat there for the longest time and watched. When we left, Lily wanted to go back and "watch the girl fall." She also wanted to throw the balls too, so we stood in line, but she changed her mind once it was finally our turn.

Watching the dunk tank.

Desperately trying to get her to take a photo with me.

I got her popcorn again since I really wanted her to eat something -- anything. With all the fun and excitement, she didn't want to eat.

Clapping for the band, The Texas Gypsy's. They were kinda fun.

Getting wild at the end of the night! She was re energized by the popcorn and started dancing around so much she was losing her top!

She even made a new friend! Not sure who she is, or even what her name is -- but her family was sitting next to us and her and Lily danced around and had tons of fun. It is cute to see Lily make new friends. At one point her little friend ran off and Lily said to me "Where'd the kid go?" I though that was so funny!

Still dancing!

Too much fun!

Lily sat on my lap for most of the fireworks, but she got up once to go talk to Grandma, so I got a quick photo of them watching the show. The fireworks went off for about 30 minutes!
