Going Outside & A Playdate

I was recently looking through photos from last summer and I realized that we went out to play and splash nearly every night and spent a lot of time at the park. This year as soon as the temps started hitting 80 degrees, I stopped going outside! I felt kinda bad about that, so last night after Lily's nap we went out to play. I got the pool out, set up my bench and the sand table. I even got her little T-ball toy out to play with. I was completely ready to hang out outside all night. Of course, after I did all that Lily just wanted to go inside and "eat nuggets and watch Winnie the Pooh". Oh well, at least I tried. She is so over her baby pool now that she has spent more time in the big community pool. Next week we start playgroup at the pool for a month, so she'll love that. Lily and I actually went to the pool last Friday night but it was so un-refreshing! I am never going in the evening again since the water was SO warm. It was gross. And Lily didn't have as much fun since her friends were not there. Oh well.

Of course, even though we were only outside for 20 minutes I managed to get some photos!

After we got inside and ate dinner, I was relaxing on the couch and I could hear Lily behind me playing at the table. When I got up to see what she was doing this is what I found:

She set her stuffed lamb in her booster seat, served him tea, and got her Barbie laptop all set up (mouse pad and all). When I asked her what she was doing, she said "I'm just checking my e-mail real fast." She is too cute for me!

This morning after Gymboree we went over to Kathleen & Avery's house to play. We were hoping to swim, but the pool man had come that morning and shocked the pool and we couldn't swim for 4 hours. But Lily had a lot of fun playing! Some friends that used to be in Gymboree with us were there, Meredith, Taylor and Paisley and well as some new friends, Erin and Noble who happen to live up the street from us!

We snapped a photo of the gang as we were all getting ready to leave. The kids had Popsicles outside and then had a little too much fun rinsing off with the hose. That is how Lily and Avery lost their clothes and Taylor ended up in a swimsuit cover!
