Yesterday we released Kermit the Frog at the pond down the street from our house. We had fun with him and Lily really loved him, but I was terrified every morning that I would discover him dead in his little case. I couldn't tell if he was eating anything and he just look so unhappy in there. We talked about it for a few days before hand and Lily was really cool with the whole thing. I told her that it was fun having him stay with us, but now it was time for him to go back to see his Mommy and Daddy and all his friends. She thought it was great that Kermit would go home and tell everyone about his adventures and the little girl named Lily that would carry him around. Kermit has lots of stories to tell -- how he got to sleep in the "diamond room" (dining room) and about the time he played with Grandpa in the shower and got to sit in his pocket. The best part is that he is now living right down the street -- across from the pool, so we can walk by and visit him often. Plus we have a little habitat all ready, so if someday Grandpa catches another frog it can visit us for a couple days and then go free. That is the best system for me!

Freeing Kermit and My Little Speed Racer
.............................
Chip took yesterday off work and in the evening Lily really wanted to go out to eat. It was cute since Chip was upstairs studying Lily told me to "go to the stairs and yell, Baby time to go out to eat". Apparently I yell upstairs to him too often. :) Lily had actually just eaten, so I knew she wouldn't be hungry if we did go out and she would quickly get bored. So I suggested going to get pizza at the place where she can play with the dough. Well, apparently everyone else had the same idea since there was quite a wait. So we went to another pizza joint, where we normally would have had it delivered from and just ate there. I purposely sat over by the mini arcade area knowing that Lily could wander over and keep herself entertained while we ate. Sure enough she spotted it right away and immediately climbed into the driving game.

I love that Kermit is back with his family and that you may entertain future visitors in his little habitat. Great lesson for Lily! Also, how cute is driving to California and talking to the other drivers? We do have to watch what we say, don't we?
