Day Trip to Texarkana

Wednesday morning Lily, my Mom and I drove to Texarkana, TX to meet up with my Aunt Pam, cousin Shawn, his new wife Samantha and Pam's friend Tammy. Linda, Scott, Jeremy and my Dad drove out too in a separate car and Chip had to stay behind and work. It was about a 3 hour drive each way for all of us since Texarkana is in the middle between where we live in Texas and where they live in Arkansas. We met them at the Cracker Barrel at noon for lunch. Aunt Pam was so excited to finally meet Jeremy.

Lily was being a total ham (and very un-Lily like) by posing in her "Princess pose" for the every one's cameras. FYI -- the "Princess pose" involves her tilting her head to the side.

hugs for Aunt Pam since she brought Lily a book and a sticker book.

To beat the heat and hang out some more, we headed over to the local mall. Lily was very happy in the play area.

And Scott was awesome enough to try out the Hurricane Simulator! It blew 78 mile per hour winds down upon him while we all laughed hysterically! It was quite the sight and it seemed like the whole mall stopped to witness it!

It was a fun outing and it was so good to see everyone! It felt like I took a lot of photos, but I really didn't. My Aunt has a group shot on her camera, so hopefully she'll email that to me soon (Hint, Hint, Aunt Pam!).
