Gardening with Grandpa

Lily has been expressing an interest in gardening (which is shocking considering she FREAKS out at the sign of any bug and hates dirt and getting her hands dirty).   The Easter Bunny filled her basket with gardening tools, gloves and a watering can (all Hello Kitty) and Grandpa took her to buy some plants -- they picked out watermelon, strawberries, cucumbers, and peppers and Grandpa got a cherry tomato plant.  Yesterday afternoon they planted a little garden!  Lily helped dig the holes, added potting soil, and watered the plants.  Dani helped wherever she could -- she just has to be in on all the action!

We put the watermelon in the corner so they would have room to grow.

Lily got dressed in a "gardening outfit" -- a spring flowered dress with a butterfly hair clip.  She looked very cute.  Poor Dani was wearing Christmas pajamas.

Lily has already asked today if she can go water her plants -- hopefully this interest lasts at least until we get some fruit and veggies!
