Sandy Lake Amusement Park

On Friday we all (minus Chip and Grandpa who were at work) went to Sandy Lake Amusement Park!  It was a fun, old, rinky-dink little park with fair type rides.  Perfect for the kids!!  It was a nice cool summer day (!!!) and not crowded at all.  It was awesome.

The first ride they chose to go on was the "Little Dipper" roller-coaster.  Katie was too short and Dani was just tall enough if an adult rode with her.  It was painful.  Fast and jerky.  I'm shocked we don't all have whiplash!  But the kids LOVED it!!

Next up -- the little boats and cars and fish and rockets.  Much more my speed.  :)

Dani manned the gun and protected the whole fleet.

She took her job very seriously.

The kids wanted to go back on that damn Little Dipper again.  Scott was nice enough to volunteer to go with Dani this time.

He got off and said it was the worst ride ever.
Next up -- pony rides!!  Dani's first time on a pony.  She wouldn't do it last summer in Colorado, but enjoyed it today.

Then we took the train around the park.

so sweet.
Cool twisted tree.

More rides!

They had some bigger kid rides there too that only Lily was tall enough for.  She really wanted to do the swings since she had just rode them at Six Flags and loved them.  These seemed faster and scarier!

Back to the fish and cars.

Dani always had to have the pink on of every ride.

Lily and Jeremy went back on the Little Dipper one last time before it was time to go.  No one volunteered to take poor Dani again. :)

After we all went to McDonalds for lunch and let the kids play some more..

In the evening, before dinner, we all went down to the pond in my parent's neighborhood to drive the new remote control boat that Grandpa got (he got all kinds of remote controlled toys!)

It was another super fun day!!
