I can't believe this is my 100th post!! How on earth have I managed to ramble on about nothing (not that Lily is nothing) 100 separate times? Amazing!
It is raining pretty good again today. It is kinda nice, I like the rain. It has probably rained more in the last three months that we've been here than in the last three (or more) years in California. Crazy. I wonder how long it will take until I stop getting excited for the rain. It is still a fun novelty -- but I am sure after we live here long enough I'll stop running to the windows to watch and look out for lightning bolts.. . . maybe. :) Lily enjoys the rain too and has added the word "rain" to her vocabulary! Apparently we may be in for some real rain this weekend. It looks like hurricane Ike is going to be headed straight for us. Of course we are a good 430 miles from the coast so it will just be a tropical storm when it hits North Texas. At first I was kinda excited -- more rain!! But then they mentioned the possibility of severe weather and tornadoes. Not so excited now. Looks like Lily and I will be spending Saturday in the closet under the stairs. I should take the vacuum out now and fill the closet with goldfish crackers and Elmo toys!!
I'll keep ya posted on that, I am watching the radar!

On a separate note, after months and months of trying to get Lily to brush her teeth, we've finally had a breakthrough. She first showed some interest a few weeks back while I watching the movie, "Stranger Than Fiction." If you've seen it, you'll recall that Will Ferrell brushes his teeth a few times . . . anyway, she got all excited and said "teeth" and watched with great interest. Of course I had tried to get her to watch me brush, but as I was already aware, I am nowhere near as entertaining as Will Ferrell. But that interest was brief. Then last week at the market I noticed it, my ace in the hole, the Elmo toothbrush!!!!!!!! Works like a charm. Her first toothbrush was purchased before the Elmo obsession and has a cute little beaver or some other woodland creature on it. It is cute, but not Elmo. Yesterday we were upstairs getting dressed and she wanted Elmo -- she brushed her teeth for like 20 minutes, she even brought the toothbrush downstairs with her!
You can't even see Elmo in this pic -- it is just a small picture of Elmo on the handle, but it is enough to get her excited!

Also last night I had to run to the Hobby Lobby to get some glue. Just a $3.27 thing of glue. Of course I left with a Santa (I couldn't resist!) and this awesome pillowbook! Lily has a new love for Mickey Mouse (and we all know she loves books) and she also likes to rest her head on pillows. . . . so I thought the combination of the three = fun!!

We had just walked in the door and she already had to try out the pillow!
See, now it is a book! Fun, huh? :)

oooh, jealous of you...real weather! How fun I miss storms!
Keep up the funny stories of Lily! Love the flying cereal bar! She and Coop sound like they'd get along great. :-) Plus, he is quiet around other people, too.
