Just What We Needed . . .

Since you could still see our carpet in certain areas of the house, I decided that we definitely needed another large toy to cover it up! :) My friend Heather was selling her Little Tikes slide and I was the lucky buyer!! I had been looking to buy this exact slide for Lily for Christmas, but decided against it since it was $70 and ages 1-4. I was afraid that I had already lost a year of use and therefore didn't want to pay that much. Plus I am hoping that next year we can get a real slide for the backyard and that would be good enough. But when Heather was offering it for $20, I figured I better snag it before someone else did!

Lily is loving it!! And she really needs it. I know that sounds funny, but this girl needs some major help learning to climb. You should see her trying to get up the little rock climbing steps to the platform -- it is so hilariously ungraceful!! So hopefully this will help her learn to climb better and gain some confidence in her climbing abilities so she won't be the laughing stock of the playground in the future!

Heather dropped it off while Lily was napping yesterday. So she had just woken up when I took these pictures!

Of course, she is still Lily and even though she is having fun climbing and sliding, the tiny drop off at the end of the slide was too much for her delicate behind. So we have to keep the pillow there for her to slide into! She is too funny!

The slide is also the perfect spot to enjoy a snack . . . here she is trying to watch Mickey Mouse through the holes in the side.

(and yes, that is a giant pimple on her cheek -- looks like the 2 year photos will have to wait a few more days!)
