My dad called me last night and told me he had caught another frog (this one on his front porch!!) and wanted to bring it over to play with Lily and Kermit. I suggested we play with the frogs at his house and he thought that was an even better idea (so did I, until it dawned on me that I clean there too). So Lily, Kermit and I headed over to play.
Lily was excited to finally take her frog out of his cage, she has been wanting to pet him for days (but I didn't want to get him out). Of course when we first got there, she was a little shy and weary of the frog.

The frog my Dad got, which we named Freddy, is on the left. Kermit is on the right.

We played with them in the shower so they could run (or leap) free.

My Dad lived out his dream of being Huck Finn and put Freddy in his pocket.

Lily had fun with the frogs, but mostly enjoyed going in and out of the shower. She LOVES to go in and out of doors. As she leaves she always says where she is going "store, park, etc" and then "bye bye. See you later" As she comes back she opens the door and exclaims "Hello!" She'll do this over and over and over and over.

She was pretty brave and not really afraid of the frogs at all.

I sat up on the sink. I am not afraid of frogs, but I know that if one leaps towards me I will scream. It is just a natural instinct. And I don't want to traumatize or scare Lily.

Trying to get her to pet his tummy.

We took Freddy outside to free him. I don't want two frogs, so we let Freddy go. Lily finally petted the frog and would laugh and scream when he would hop with her touch.

Freddy was so calm. He didn't even try to make a run for it. He just hung out with us in the yard and let Lily play with him.

Dad was trying to get Lily to lay next to him and Freddy, but she wouldn't do it -- she was too busy running around.

Feeding him grass.

Lily loved it when Grandpa put the frog in his pocket. She kept asking him to do it again and again.

Talking to Grandma on the phone. My Mom is in California this week.

Eating dinner with Grandpa.
