Introducing Kermit the Frog!

My dad caught a frog at the golf course yesterday and asked if he could give it to Lily as a pet. I couldn't say no to that -- I have no idea why I couldn't say no, but I accepted his kind offer and let Lily have the frog. I am a little concerned now since I don't know what kind of frog it is -- I don't know if he likes land or water; if he will eat the freeze dried worms, or if I'll have to get him live bugs; and how often I have to clean his little box. We'll see how long this frog lasts.

But Lily loves the frog! We named him Kermit (it was the only famous frog we could think of besides the WB frog). She talks to him like she does her baby dolls -- she told him to go to sleep last night, asked if he was ok, etc. She is not afraid of it at all. She keeps asking me to open up the cage so she can pet him, but I told her she had to wait for Grandpa to do that!

Grandpa bringing over the frog.

Laughing at Kermit. She keeps saying how cute he is.

Kermit, on the right, will be living on top of the hutch in the dining room since it is the only place I can think of that the cats don't go. I am not sure what the cats would do to the cage overnight and I do not want to find out!

Lily seems to think the frog is her latest fashion accessory since she carries the poor thing around like a purse.

She loves her new little pet.
