Santa's Village

Tonight Lily and I went to Santa's Village with all our friends. Sadly, Chip couldn't join us since he had his last final and my Mom, who was going to come, had to stay home since she had workers at her house fixing her shower. It was a lot fun. A local city does it every year out in their civic center. It is all totally free and totally festive. Tons of little houses each with a different theme and activity inside; a stage for entertainment and local talent (aka kids choirs and dance groups); and of course Santa Claus!!

By the way, it was COLD today! This morning when I dropped Lily off at school it was a whopping 24 degrees!! By the evening it had warmed up to 43 and actually wasn't too bad. Of course I had on a long sleeve shirt, a hooded sweatshirt and a huge jacket with the extra fleece vest zipped in, along with my warm Uggs. Lily was wearing a long sleeve shirt, a fleece jacket and another fleece lined puffy jacket on top of that! But it was fun, it made it that much more festive!

Waiting in line to see Santa!

Making our way through Santa's toy shop . . .

Lily and Me with Elise and Courtney
A nice man standing in line behind us offered to take our picture. Lily freaked out and got all shy -- not a good sign of things to come when waiting to see Santa!

She was SO excited to see Santa and has been talking about it for weeks. However as soon as it was finally our turn she freaked out and did NOT want to go in. But I tried anyway to pose for a quick photo. It was a small room and kinda hard to get a good picture, so this is all we got. However, we'll have another chance tomorrow night at the neighborhood party and she is already feeling bad that she: "got scared. He is nice and buys me presents" she said. So hopefully we'll get better pictures next time!

She did get a candy cane from Santa.
They had tons of cute decorations like this -- perfect for taking photos, but Lily was not in a cooperative mood, and I didn't really get any.

Meeting the Fairy Princess (whoever that is). She had NO problem walking up to her and telling her what she wanted for Christmas. Apparently, she told her she wanted a wand. :)

Emily just got back from a week at Disney World. When they were there they had breakfast with Cinderella and Emily got a wand from Cinderella and she asked for another one to bring back to her friend Lily! How sweet is that?? So here is the wand that Emily got from Cinderella for Lily! So cute and special!!

There was also a small petting zoo with baby goats and chickens. Here is Lily petting the chickens.

With the baby goats.
She loves the animals!
