Tree Shopping

Last night we got our Christmas tree! We just went to Lowes since we had good luck there last year. Lily's favorite part was taking a ride on the cart:

It was so cute, you could hear her laughter echo throughout the garden center.

The only thing I hate about not going to a Christmas Tree lot is the fact that they are not all set up and easy to see.

I had every intention of getting the tree all decorated last night so that Chip could have Saturday and Sunday night to study for his finals. But by the time he got home from work it was 6:30 and by the time we got home from Lowes it was close to 7:30 and we still had to eat dinner and get Lily fed. Plus, Lily took a super short hour nap during the day (no idea why) and was SO tired that she had no interest in decorating the tree. So we called it a night at her normal bed time and will have to finish the rest tonight. We did get the lights on and a few ornaments. I could do the rest this afternoon, but I did all the other decorations and outdoor lights on my own and I like to decorate the tree as a family.

This morning I put the presents I wrapped last week under the tree. It didn't take Lily long to to spot them and check them all out.

She's already broken 2 ornaments (her new Cinderella and Ariel ones) and is about to tear through the paper on the presents. It is going to be an interesting month!!!
