Disneyland

Yesterday Lily, Chip and I went to Disneyland! We were hoping to go when we were in CA and finally decided to go on Thursday, only to find out Wednesday night that we were getting signed in for free! Uncle Scott's Mom, Joan, had been trying to get her daughter Christine and/or her husband Scott to get us in for free since they work there and Scott was SO nice to meet us Thursday and get us in. We really appreciated it and had the best day!!

We were supposed to meet Scott around 10:30 and we got there a little early, so we stopped to get Lily a mouse ear hat (of course she had to have the Princess one) which she finally agreed to wear! We tried last time and she refused to wear one. So I was excited about that!

Eating a muffin while waiting for Scott.

Chip eating a sandwich for breakfast.

I brought Lily's backpack since it is smaller and easier than my bag. She wanted to wear it, but it was so heavy she nearly fell over and I made her take it off.

Disneyland!

The sun was in Lily's eyes, so it was hard to get her to cooperate for the photo.

On the tea cups, the first ride of the day! That is the great things about going on a weekday in January -- we walked right on a lot of the rides and at most they had a 15 minutes wait.

Weeee . . .

Second ride of the day was the Storybook Land boats. Lily is already tired -- that is what happens when you wake up at 6:40. I was a little nervous about how the rest of the day would go, but she was SO good! My little trooper.

Waiting in the longest line of the day -- the 50 minute wait to visit the Princesses! But Lily really wanted to do this, I was just afraid she'd get scared once we got back there. . .

. . . . but she did great! She wasn't scared at all, more like in total awe!

Hugs for Jasmine.

Talking to Sleeping Beauty.

She was giddy after meeting the Princesses and rolled around on this royal bench for awhile. It was hilarious and cute!

Chilling in Mickey's house.

Playing piano at Mickey's.

Walking to go see Mickey.
We actually did see Mickey, but she was so excited and after the success with the Princesses I didn't anticipate any issues, but we got in there and she freaked out a little. We got a photo taken with the photo card, but I haven't gone online yet to check it out. But I kicked myself afterwards for not giving Chip my camera to take a picture of me, Lily and Mickey! Hopefully, I'll have another post soon with the photo.

She made me hold her to see Minnie too!

Minnie's house.

Loving Minnie's makeup.

She did not want to leave Minnie's kitchen!

Goofy!

After lunch, we went on Dumbo.

Lily LOVES Dumbo -- we actually went on it again later since it was her favorite ride.

We even ran into the Fairy Godmother by the castle!

Visiting Pixie Hollow!

Hugs for Tinkerbell.

(sorry, no editing programs here on my Mom's computer) :)

She was very excited to see Pooh and surprisingly did not make me hold her.

Tigger!

On the boats for Pirates of the Caribbean! It was a lot darker than I remember (things are different when you see them through the eyes of a 3 year old), but she did great and said she would go again if she had to. :)
After this Princess Tiana was out we started to wait in line to meet her, but Lily was disappointed that she wasn't a frog and didn't want to wait anymore. :)

Next, we ran over to California Adventure to go on the Toy Story ride. At this point, Chip was pooped out, so Lily and I went on our own while he rested on a bench. :)

She really enjoyed this ride!

Lily even had an accurancy rate of 6%!

King Triton's Carousel

Back at Disneyland.

On Casey Jr's Circus Train

More Dumbo!

Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters.

Last ride of the day was the Rocket's. Since she loved Dumbo so much, I figured she'd love these too and I was right!

Such a fun day! We got there at 10am which is when the opened and stayed until 8pm which is closing. Lily did not nap or doze off once all day! We started asking her around 6 if she was ready to go home and she said, "No, more rides!". She did pass out hard in the car home. She was so asleep that we carried here in, put on a diaper and jammies and put her to bed without her really waking up!!! That has never happened before!

What a perfect day! It's really fun to see my favorite place through Lily's eyes!! I was about to comment that the princesses are easier to approach since they don't wear the big masks like Mickey and Minnie wear, but then she didn't have a problem with meeting Pooh - who knows what goes through the mind of a 3-year-old! Thanks for sharing all these great photos and your view of the park. With our annual passes we go quite often - we may even take Ari back next week! I'm getting ready to blog about the day before Thanksgiving which is the last time we took him. We also took Katie and Brady a few weeks back when they were here but I'm not that caught up on my blogs yet!
