Disneyland!

Since we are kinda crazy and maybe a bit obsessed, we told the girls we'd go to Disneyland while we were in So Cal.  Technically, we haven't been to Disneyland in 3 and a half years, so it's not that bad. :)  What we didn't realize when we planned all that was that it's was Disneyland's 60th birthday.  Like literally.  To the day on Friday the 17th.  So we choose to go to Disneyland on the 16th and save California Adventure for the 17th to try to avoid the crowds!!  I admit, I was afraid and warned the girls that it would be crowded and we probably wouldn't get to do a lot.  But to my surprise, it wasn't bad at all and we got to do everything we wanted to!! (It helps that they didn't want to ride any of the "good" rides and we didn't have to wait in any 40 minute roller coaster lines.  I also vetoed any character meetings and lines since have met them all).

We're off to Disneyland!!

Next we did Star Tours.  Lily loved it in Florida and Dani was finally tall enough.  I was a little nervous about Dani liking it, but I shouldn't have been.  She LOVED it!!!

As an extra bonus to an already fun day -- Raegan and Mindy joined us!!  Rae hadn't been in awhile and was terrified of all the rides that went inside.  But she loved Dumbo!! :)  So Mindy and Rae would wait in line with us, Rae would scream and then they'd wait for us to get off the ride.  But it was still fun to spend time with them in line.

Finally -- what the girls have been waiting for all day -- the Haunted Mansion!!

Lily thought it was scarier than the Florida version.  I thought it was about the same.

Lily's favorite place on Earth -- Toon Town.  The only bad part about Disney World for her -- there is no Toon Town.

Both girls had fun with Raegan!  Here we are in line for the toon town roller coaster, which Rae did too!!

We also rode Roger Rabbit's Cartoon Spin which was a first and a favorite for the girls!!  (not Rae who sat that one out.  But Mindy got a ride switch so Lily and Dani got to do it twice!!)

Rae freaked out again as we were about to board the boat, so Chip sat out with her.  But they all went on again later while we were waiting for the parade so Chip and Rae got to ride!

We set up camp to wait for the new "Paint the Night"  parade.  It was worth it and amazing!!  The parade and fireworks were an awesome way to end a great day!

Dani passed out halfway through the fireworks.  It was a perfect day!
