Vacation, Leg 2 Day 1

We were so ready and excited to start leg 2 with the whole family!!  LAX-HNL!!  What made the flight to Honolulu even more fun was the fact that long time family friend, Kim was our pilot!!  He has flown this route for years and purposely requested our flight.  So we got top treatment and the kids (and I) got to play in the cockpit before takeoff!!  So cool!!

Lily and Jeremy always had a special bond, but these two really bonded on this trip.  Two crazy peas in a pod!!

They even got to wear Kim's Captain hat!

On the flight there I sat with Dani and Jeremy, who were just too cute for words.

And Linda had Lily and Katie (and occasionally Jeremy and Dani).

We made it!!  

Once we got to the hotel, we couldn't wait to get our suits on and go play and explore!!

First stop, the beach.  The beach at Aulani is a man made lagoon, with very small waves.  Perfect for the kids to play and swim.

Next stop was the lazy river!!  We'd spend a LOT of time in the lazy river over the next week.  It was beautiful, fun and long.  Best lazy river I've ever been in.

There were caves, volcanos, waterfalls, etc.

We tried out the tube waterslide to end the night!!  Vacation is off to a fantastic start!!!
