On the 4th of every month, Lily and I have a little photo shoot to document her being another month older. So on Wednesday I dressed her up in this cute little short outfit and we went in the backyard. It is kinda exciting to have a whole new set of backdrops for my pictures -- I was running out of places in and around the apartment. So we choose to stand by the pretty pink tree -- which my Mom pointed out may be poisonous, so I figured we'd get pictures now before we had to rip it out. It had been windy all week, which I thought would work in my favor since Lily loves a breezy day and I can usually get some good smiles from her with the wind in her face. But of course, not today. Maybe it was too windy, or too warm? Whatever it was, she wasn't really into it, so the photos are not that great -- but here are a few anyway.

Your Mom is right about the pretty pink plant - oleander. We also call them "freeway plants" because they grow so quickly and are used a lot on the sides of freeways and also on Florence Ave in Downey. Love your blog! Forwarded it to Becky, too. Love, Aunt Karen
