Playgroup at the Park

This morning we had our neighborhood playgroup at the park. For some reason this morning Lily, who was so excited to go to the park with her friends, didn't really want to play when we got there. So I spent most the morning chatting with my friends while carrying Lily. Finally right as it was time to go she decided to play with Shira and the wood chips. Normally I don't encourage her to play with the wood chips that cover the ground at the playground, but my back was so sore from holding her for an hour that I was all for any activity that kept her occupied!

Lily and Shira have very similar personalities and are only 10 days apart in age (Shira is older, although she is much smaller than Lily). So we often try to encourage them to play together and it was cute today when they finally did.

Then Tyler came to play too!

After playgroup Lily and I went to lunch again with Tyler and his mom, Pam. The weather was warming up, but not hot yet so we took advantage and sat outside. It was perfect.

The next photo is actually from yesterday morning. Lily likes to get ready with me, we brush our teeth, she pretends on put on deodorant, I brush my hair and she runs away screaming since she hates her hair to be brushed - it is lots of fun! But her favorite part is "putting on her makeup." I gave her an old empty compact and some brushes and she stands on her stool next to me and puts her make-up on too. Well, yesterday she got a hold of some lipstick and decided it would look best on her cheeks:

It wasn't too bad, but she was so proud of it and kept saying she had "pretty makeup like Mommy" so she freaked out when I tried to wipe it off. She ended up going to playgroup looking like a warrior set for battle. :)
