Chip went to the ER Wednesday night with what turned out to be gallstones in his gallbladder and main bile duct. So he was scheduled for a routine ERSP to scope out the stones and then have his gallbladder removed once the inflammation and infection went away. Pretty common procedure and simple stuff in the medical field. However, there were some major complications during the noninvasive, simple procedure and he is very very very lucky to still be with us today. We owe a lot to a quick acting anesthesiologist who saved his life. It is impossible for me to fully grasp it all and I don't really want to go there. I am just thankful that he is out of pain and still alive. He was in the hospital until Sunday afternoon. He still has his gallbladder and will have to go back in a few weeks have that taken out.
Exactly 28 days away from being a legitimate RN, he was reading his own vitals which gave him comfort in confirming that he was going to be okay.
Lily kept me company at night and read me bedtime stories.
We'd send pictures and videos to daddy at night like this one.
