Ga's House!

Wow, I can't believe that two days have gone by and I haven't blogged!! Not too much going on the past few days. . . I'm still not 100% sick, yet not 100% well. It is actually kinda annoying -- I wish I could just be sick already and get it over with! Thursday we went to Gymboree, as usual, and then spent the rest of the day hanging out with Grandma. Her kitties are here too, but they are locked up in the guest bedroom and playroom area since Britney does not play well with others. We tried to free them, but they are still a little freaked out by the move so they pretty much stick to their area of the house anyway, so we're just leaving them alone. Lily desperately wants to go play with them, but she seems to always scream and lunge for them and it scares the crap outta the poor cats!

Yesterday morning Lily and I went to the Mattel Outlet Store!! Apparently there are 4 in the So Cal area (which I never knew about -- clink on the link for the website, coupons and more info if you are interested!). The one near us is only open for the holidays (which is fine since Lily's birthday and Christmas are so close). Anyway I had a 50% off coupon that I got from the website so I wanted to see if they had anything good to get for Lily -- I was hoping to find a kitchen or some other big ticket item. They didn't have a lot for Lily -- we got a tricycle, a baby Elmo doll that you feed and burp (I wasn't planning on getting that, but she had to have it), a talking Minnie Mouse doll, a cookie monster doll, and a much needed booster seat -- all for $50!! Since, believe it or not, the stupid Elmo doll was the most expensive item we got 50% off of that and then a surprise additional 25% off everything else which was already priced at wholesale prices!! Woo-Hoo! I don't know what the other outlets are like, but this one was mostly filled with Barbie stuff, lots of cars for boys and a whole bunch of Fisher Price baby gear -- swings, bouncers, high chairs, etc . . . in case anyone is interested.

Yesterday was also the big day when my parents signed the escrow papers and got the keys to their house!! There are still some small things that need to be completed, so they are not 100% sure when they are actually moving in. The refrigerator, washer, dryer and bedroom furniture that she bought this last week was delivered this afternoon and their truck full of stuff from CA is scheduled to arrive on Monday. I took some pictures, but none turned out too great, so as soon as they get a little more settled I'll try to get some pics up. Empty rooms don't photograph too well! :)

Here's Mom and Dad outside their new house! They still need to get the lighting that goes out front -- you can see the holes where light fixtures should go on the posts framing the walkway.

Lily was having tons of fun going up and down the steps from the dining room/butler pantry area to the kitchen.
Lily and Ga kickin it on the stairs
